Vaseline essential moisture bought at home bargains. Impressed as I find it almost as good as Aveeno.

Was a MN recc on another thread.

What have you bought recently that's impressed you?

Korres shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair. Currently BOGOF at Waitrose.

Dove Summer Glow - I've been really surprised at how good it is; normally hate Dove stuff.

Bravura Dermaflannel and Hylauronic serum.
They both really really do what they say they will!

La Roche Posay tinted SPF 50 compact - it's actually really nice makeup as well as proper sun block.

Ilia Beauty lipsticks - it's one of those all-natural brands where I find the colours are often a bit meh, but these are AMAZING. Super pigmentation, feel lovely, you could possibly eat them...

Elvive Fibrology shampoo and conditioner. Really good body-building for my fine, limp hair.

St Tropez bronzing mousse. Brilliant stuff!

This mascara from Asda is surprisingly good, and just £3.50!

Pros:
Gives really thick, long-looking lashes
Washes off very easily (unlike some cheap make-up)

Cons:
Smudges reasonably easily.

Bodyshop Rainforest Hair Butter - I use it as a leave-in as hair is mega thick and dry. Its very nourishing and smells gorgeous

Kiko lipstick - lasts well and not at all drying, cost about six quid

Thumbs up:

Anastasia DipBrow Pomade. Amazing stuff.

Zoeva brushes - will be buying instead of MAC from now on.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye-shadow Palette - stunning colours and they smell like white chocolate Shock Grin .

I have also just discovered the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and their Healthy Mix Foundation and am seriously impressed with both!

Also Rimmel lip crayon things - Colour Rush? They are gorgeous.

And finally the Soap and Glory highlighter. It's a beautiful peachy shade and really really flattering.

Thumbs down:

Kiko liquid eyeliner pen as used by Alexa Chung in her Lisa Eldridge video. Utter pants.

Also bought 2 of their nail polishes which aren't great.

L'oreal LumiMaguique highlighting powder - rubbish.

That Bourjois CC cream is fantastic. As good as a lot of much more expensive products, and the colour I use is a great match for my skin tone.

Another thumbs up for the Bourjois CC cream from me.

Also impressed by an emergency buy - a Barbara Daly eyeshadow quad from Tesco (Sugar something?). Nice neutral colours, which last pretty well for the price.

I'm just coming to the end of my Maybelline BB cream (which I love) so I might take a punt on the Bourjois CC cream considering all the love its been getting on here! Does it give you much coverage or is it more of a 'smoothing out' effect?

Tara Smith serum and gel from Marks & Spencer. The gel comes in a tiny bottle but I only need two small 'blobs' (technical term!) to tame my jaw length mass of curls.

Gel
Also been using this as a leave-in conditioner:

Schwarzkopf bonacure but I bought it from the 99p shop.

Barry M Gel nail polish too, lasted on my toes for 5 weeks, no chips.

Loreal Sublime Bronze self tan cream is terrific. Garnier self tan gel is dreadful - I tried it yesterday and am covered In Streaks. The Loreal smells a bit fake tan-ish but it gives you a great colour and is easy to apply. Exact opposite w Garnier.

Mitchum anti perspiration stick is excellent, with a nice smell. The Dove anti perspirant stick doesn't come anywhere near it. It leaves marks and doesn't keep me as "fresh".

Yes to Elvive - fab! I like to spray my hair w the Johnson's detangling spray (green bottle - it's for children) or put a little Argan oil through the ends as I don't use conditioner.

Maybelline Stiletto waterproof mascara in brown black is bomb proof. And is £3 from eBay.

Loving the Rimmel anti fatigue under eye concealer, too.

The TopShop BB cream is v good, but a bit too drying on my skin (can only apply it w Argan oil or M&S serum). Not found my perfect BB or CC cream, yet.

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best mascara I have ever used. Doesn't clump, doesn't smudge, easy to build up and gives long fluttery eyelashes (when combined with Shu Uemura eyelash curlers anyway...)

Garnier Ultimate Blends (Sleek Restorer) shampoo & conditioner, my hair looks amazing for the first time in years.

Daniel Sandler invisible blotting powder & creme blusher, both pricey but give great results & will last ages.

Well I've been looking for an eye cream to get rid of or at least reduce my dark under eye circles for years. I just bought dermalogica age reversal eye cream and it actually works!

After one application last night, woke up this morning and the darkness is much lighter. Can't believe it! Bit pricey but I found a Web site that sells it a bit cheaper. Well chuffed!

Oops, it's Maybelline eye concealer I like, not Rimmel.

Dove hair oil - I got the one for mature hair (whatever that's supposed to mean), and it's really nice. It smells good, works well and makes the hair shiny without making it look greasy.

Mac Face & Body foundation - looks great on the skin, very natural. Does get a bit shiny on me during the day though.

Revlon Colorburst matte balm in 250. A perfect matte red. Tastes minty, lasts well and doesn't bleed/feather.

Not so impressed with these buys:
Chanel Les Beiges powder - the brush is terrible and completely pointless. When applied with other brush or puff, it's okay but makes my skin look terribly greasy. Very yellow toned on the skin.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede in 093. Rolls off the lips in little wormy bits - bleurgh.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch - tastes horrible and dries out my lips.
