All I want is a non-padded bra for my small boobs!

That's it really. I'm a size 34A, and need some new bras.

I'm not a fan of padded, I'd just like some cotton bras.

Tried both M and S and House of Fraser yesterday, and although both had mountains of bras, they are all padded unless you get towards a DD.

I'm perfectly happy with my small boobs, and don't wish to pad them out. I just want a new bra.....!

Any pointers?

have you measured yourself properly? What dress size are you? You may not actually be a 34A (that means only 1 inch difference between under bust and over bust measurements) especially if you have been measured somewhere like M&S - how to measure

I'm a 10/12, and in all likelihood probably do have less than 1 inch difference between under bust and over bust! Some may wonder why i bother with a bra, but...

Had a look online and nothing doing. So frustrating...there is clearly an opportunity for someone to start a specialist business.

i like calvin klein sheer bras, you can get them in tk maxx usually though we have an outlet here which sells them. really comfortable.

As a 10/12 with a 30" back, I doubt you are a 34 - try measuring with the intervention method - you never know, you might be a D+ after all, which would solve the problem grin

Sounds like you and I are similar, I wear a 32A although when I lived in the UK they could be hard to come by so sometimes I got a 34. Luckily I live abroad now where the dreaded padded bra is rare. However Calvin Klein (available from department stores) are great, also you can get a bikini top sort of style bra from Topshop. I used to swear by an M&S Autograph range plunge bra but they've discontinued it. You could try the m&s angel range too (teenage bras) although I find the quality poor. Good luck!

My sister has just told me Princesse Tam Tam is available in the UK now. They have great unpadded bras in small sizes too.

I'm a size 12 and am a 32 back.

OP do the intervention, go on!

ilovepowerhoop Tue 29-Jul-14 16:56:12

I an a 20/22 and have a 36inch back so very much doubt that you have a 34inch back at a size 10/12. My 10 year old not very developed daughter has bigger than 1 inch difference between her under and over bust measurement. Why not measure and get a truer picture of your proper size.

TimeForAnotherNameChange Tue 29-Jul-14 17:09:23

Most men are bigger than an A cup! Do the intervention, go on, go on, go on, go on!

Sorry to hijack but I read this thread as I've been tearing my hair out about bras. I've finally measured. Under breast was 30, on is 32. So what bra size am I?

ilovepowerhoop Tue 29-Jul-14 20:33:36

30B - did you bend over for the second measurement?

theidsalright Tue 29-Jul-14 20:39:26

Haha, yes I did. It's between 32 and 33. V small! Am I 30b then?

ilovepowerhoop Tue 29-Jul-14 20:40:50

yes try a 30B to start with

flingingmelon Tue 29-Jul-14 20:41:02

I'm the same, try Asos.

bringbacksideburns Tue 29-Jul-14 20:47:06

Most men are bigger than an A cup! hmm

Er...i'm 34A. Infact really according to M&S, I'm actually a 33 and a half cup! I'm not a man.

Like the OP i quite like it. I don't feel unfeminine because i dare an A...and not have large or plastic tits.

In answer to your question OP i'd say Marks or maybe BHS.

ilovepowerhoop Tue 29-Jul-14 20:49:51

M&S do not measure properly though so I would avoid being measured by them - they add 4 inches to the back size so giving a back that is too big and a cup that is too small (I imagine BHS measure the same way). Do you actually measure 34 inches under your bust? - if not then you are not a 34 back size.

Yup, as ilovepowerhoop says marks and spencer are truly terrible. Most people who they say are an A cup, are in fact a DD or similar, bbut in a much smaller band size. They add 4" to your underbust (or 5 if you have an odd underbust measurement) which is outdated and frankly crap

Sicaq Tue 29-Jul-14 21:36:51

The M & S Angel (teenage) range are good - that's where I buy mine. Not overly girly in style, so an adult can wear them.

SorrelForbes Tue 29-Jul-14 23:26:48

I have helped fit a fairly large number of women now and even the flattest chested have been a C cup (in a 28 band).

Please stay away from M&S and BHS, they haven't a clue.

HazleNutt Wed 30-Jul-14 08:21:03

If M&S measured you as 34A, you are probably about 30DD.

Fairylea Wed 30-Jul-14 08:22:49

I can virtually guarantee you are not a 34 back. I am a size 16-18 and I am a 30. Marks and spencers try to put me into a 34-36 F. I am a 30GG.

wellnowthenmardybum Wed 30-Jul-14 08:24:57

Bringbacksideburns---- m&s measured me as a 34a aa well. I am actually a dd.

InMySpareTime Wed 30-Jul-14 08:50:53

Ooh! I love a good intervention. For context, my "barely a handful" rack is a 26G. M&S say this is not a real size, and that I must be more like a 32B. I walked out of there.

Inmysparetime, while I see you here -I've had several people report that the tutti rouge range runs absolutely tiny in a 28 band. Apparently it's fine at bigger sizes but the 28 and to an extent the 30s are really really tight. I know you struggle so thought it might be worth mentioning.
