I just don't like the photos of her applying moisturiser to her face - which already has make-up on it Confused

No, lets have some more ...

For hair thickening then get yourself some WashNGo from the pound shop. I kiddeth not!

its very much A look, the flicky eyeliner etc
I would like her to try other looks, or she is just telling people how to look like her

I don't trust any of those beauty editor types and their recommendations tbh. If they were spending their own money on stuff, I might be more interested in their opinions.

she just puts out a journo request thing and bobs your uncle.

but for anyone who doesnt want to look like Julie Christie, or Jean Shrimpton ?

I got the skyn Iceland eye gels, didn't do a thing!

That "technique" she used to dry her fringe a) loads of people do it like that anyway and b) she has the kind of hair that would look straight and smooth just by using the blowers in your car
I do snigger a bit at her being called Sili

She's got your dream job though Troy, admit it.

Nars orgasm. I've never tried it tbh but at the end of the day it's a powder blusher. Unless it contains magical qualities I available to mere mortal brands then it's a massive money waste in my view.

Aveda hair care, turned my hair so matted I had to soak it in conditioner just to get my fingers through it.

Not a Sali one, but a few years ago actually maybe ten the beauty eds were all wetting themselves about Michael Kors leg shine. Anybody remember that one? It looked like a stick deodorant of shiny brown. I admit I was dying to buy some but then I read the makeupalley reviews. Ha ha, I love a good takedown. Apparently it is utter pish and does nothing at all.

I will defend Nars Orgasm to the death. It makes me look fabulous, whatever other make up I'm wearing.

And Aveda haircare is stuff of the gods.

I feel like I have to try the leg shine stuff now, for the hat trick Grin

Morris Sleek blusher in Rose Gold is a perfect dupe for Orgasm. And costs £4.

I don't really follow Sali but Lisa Eldridge and Pixiwoo are responsible for me spending £££ every month on makeup. Thankfully I've had no real duds. Apart from that Micellar water crap.

Hated Nars Orgasm, personally...was like dipping my head in a glitter jar.

Fibrology works brilliantly for me [shrug]

She looks like an ageing Spice Girl

Fibrology sounds like something requiring a white coat and a rubber glove.

I totally love Sali, and I think she is on our side as consumers. But inevitably there will be 'cults' whipped up around products that are simply meh for many of us.

She's always banging on about Clarisonic and I'm sure it's great, but I have dry skin and don't wear makeup so it's never going to be of interest to me.

Ooh ooh ooh

If anybody like Clinique Happy I found an amazing dupe: Botanic Whisper from And Other Stories. They don't do it as a perfume, it's a bath and body range only but lovely products at v good prices. All under a tenner for chunky sizes apart from the body spray which costs twelve quid.

The smell isn't identical to Happy - it has less citrus and more florals - but I guarantee if you like Happy, you'll love it.

Particular raves for the sugar body scrub. I have to restrain myself from eating it :)

I quite like the Fibrology stuff. It seems pretty good to me. The only thing wrong with it is that sometimes my hair goes a bit wild afterwards. But wild is better than thin and lifeless.

She has the complete opposite skin type to me so I never bother with her skin care raves as they're unlikely to suit me. I'm not a fan of the videos because I find the weird 'stops' she does, the 'errr' and the huge gulps for breath mid

sentence wind me up and sound like she's not prepared for the video at all and is just winging it.

I do like her columns though and the fact that she takes the time to respond to the reader comments/questions every week, that's pretty rare. Not many of the journos/contributors have that personal dialogue directly with readers, I do think it's a real strength of hers. i don't think it's part of her contract (maybe that's naive of me).
