Smooth, nude tshirt type bra for a petite frame

Last time I went bra shopping I really struggled to find a bra that didn't swamp my frame.

I'm a size 8 and 30DD.
Most bras came up very high under my arm pits and in the Centre of my chest iyswim.

I bought one from debenhams which was ok but not great and hasn't lasted very well.

Anyone go any suggestions of where to look so I can avoid trying on 100s. Confused

Chantelle Hedona is the best smooth nude T-shirt bra I have ever found, and they are now the only bras I ever wear. I am a 32E. Also comes in ivory and black for days when nude is not right. Try an independent bra fitter.

They don't do a 30inch back though.
Unless they come up very small then it'll be too big. (I'm a 29ibch back technically)

Sorry. I have been happy with them but your search may not be over. Good luck.

Balconette or demi cup bras may suit you, but it also depends on the shape of your breasts.

Have you been to Bravissimo?

Try intimissimi :)

Actually, intimissimi don't do anything remotely like a 30DD. They start at 32 and go all the way up to a C.
Brands for such sizes are more like Freya, Panache, Curvy Kate, Cleo and Masquerade (Panache).

I'm also a size 8 and not that tall, and I am a 30DD/E or 28E/F.But the boobs are heavy, and so much fuller at the bottom. So, balconettes and semi cups work well.

John Lewis do several bras which would work, my daughter has one John Lewis underwired t-shirt bra. It fits my dd much better than it fits their model.

Have you tried Freya? I have the deco in multiple colours and love it. I'm size 8, 5 ft, 28 back so I understand when you say some are too big for your frame.

Thanks all!

Freya bras are just the wrong shape for me. I have tried squillions but they never fit.

There's no bravissimo here or john lewis so will need to trek over to next town maybe.
That john lewis pic is awful! Shock

lweji - I've tried all those brands but never bought one before - they've never fitted quite right.

My boobs are like tennis balls in socks. :(

If your breasts are heavy like mine (heavier?), you may need extra support around the chest.
I found a strapless recently that was quite good in this respect, but it will have a wider band than you probably want.
Also, check a slightly bigger cup.

I suspect you will have to get used to larger bras, though. :)

Second the Panache superbra - they definitely do a 30 back - available from Figleaves - you can often get discount codes as well if you search.

Perhaps measure yourself according to the advice on here and order a range of sizes.

I'm a 32GG and I like the Fantasie Serene bra.

This one I've not bought from this site though so can't vouch for it. You can usually find them slightly cheaper from lingerie shops on ebay.

Have you looked at ewa michalak? They do every combo of back and cup size and have some really lovely bras

Just adding that actually I have been looking at bra alterations and have been looking at slightly modifying some older wider band bras.
If your problem is the gore and the bands under the armpits, you could conceivably alter a decent bra to look better in that respect.
However, I do think, because your breasts are heavy, that you do need the support all around.

OP what shape are your boobs and maybe we can suggest something more specific? What one person thinks is an awesome bra may be rubbish on you, and vica versa.

Are you;
Close or wide set (gap between them)
Wide or narrow root (width of each breast)
Top or bottom heavy
High or low set?

Do you have any bras which fit you well just now? Which ones?

Panache Porcelain Plunge!

Similar size/frame to me and I really like the Panache Porcelain Plunge and their Moulded T-Shirt Bra

I have that and it doesn't feel that great with my boob shape, actually. It is very shallow at the bottom and the cup goes high. I prefer the porcelain viva, which also works well as a t-shirt bra.

Sorry to hijack but I've been waiting to see Statistically around.

Any chance you can recommend a bra for me? I have a large gap between my breasts and would like a bra to give me some cleavage, I'm a 32E, any suggestions?

What have you tried already? Freya Deco is often quite good in these circs, as is the D-G Wonderbra t shirt bra
