Let's talk workwear. Maybe a little bit of non workwear fashion chat, too.

My blog is at theworkwearedit.com but our chat goes above and beyond that.

I really like the yellow Zara biker too Belinda but can't really justify it having bought a cream jacket from there for a wedding a few weeks ago.

Am completely different colouring to you and always suspected yellow looked better on blondes so I should just move away.

Eduardo of course we're informed and clever, working Mums after all Wink

This is the necklace I bought (the Zara on Oxford St next to the BHS has these).

I really want some more yellow accessories. I bought some yellow peep toes in Sicily, years ago, but they are going out shoes. So have been worn only a few times. Maybe I will make more of an effort to wear beautiful heels when going out. Hard as often w DH and much fast walking is required.

Hello workwear peeps. I didn't really post on the last thread, as it was so fast moving (who knew workwear was so popular?), but I'm avidly following the blog, Belinda, and it sooo fills a gap. I spend four days out of seven trussed up in office clobber, and do at least attempt to look half decent, but it can get very boring.

Anyhoo, I went shopping on Saturday, and picked up some very nice Mango slim fit navy cotton ankle-skimmers, which I'm sure I've seen on the blog; they were reduced to £12.99. Don't mind if I do.

I also bought something very unusual for me - a belt. This one. I'm increasingly tucking shirts into pencil skirts (whereas I used to buy fitted, long-line shirts and wear them outside, but that feels a bit dated now), but some of my skirts are a bit bleaurgh around the waist - this little belt (which isn't as wide as it looks in the pic) pulls everything in nicely. It's beautiful soft, soft leather, so not uncomfortable.

Am I the only tucker on the thread? Skirts and shirts, that is. Hip-length tops still seem to work untucked.

Of course our chat is informed and clever!

Stop it with the yellow - I STILL haven't found the, 'right' yellow skirt.

I have nothing to add at the moment - just marking place on new thread. Thanks, Belinda.

Gosh no to tucking anything into a tube skirt! I can get away with a plain top ticked into a pencil or full skirt, but only if I'm wearing a jacket or cardigan too. I can't wear belts to be on show - there's too little space between my waist and my norks, as I'm so short waisted, and the belt seems to fill up the space and make it look even worse.

Marking place also. Have bought nowt. Just no time to look. Still no bikini, might just buy on hols, have a few separate un-matching bits. How I have lost the matching bits I dunno.

Did you buy the Chinese silver shoes Belinda?

I try not to buy things with loops tbh, other than jeans - but wouldn't ever tuck anything in jeans! If I have to have a belt, it needs to be a skinny one.

Well, I'm short-waisted too - actually, I'm no-waisted if truth be told. Straight up and down. But if you don't put a belt there, it looks as if you've forgotten something, particularly with skirts with no waistband.

I would love to tuck things into pencil skirts, or anything, really, but my torso is so short, I look ridiculous. I tried a jumpsuit at TopShop the other week. Comedy gold, on me.

Oooh, look at this a Massimo Dutti wool suiting: www.massimodutti.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryPage?catalogId=30220004&keyWord=Working+Girl&categoryId=946501&langId=-1&storeId=34009456. Ignore the leather dress and Bermuda shorts, also in the category of "Working Girl". The suiting looks lovely. I will try and find it in real life.

I went to Next, today, on Oxford St. No wool suiting in store. In fact, even the query caused much confusion. I came to the conclusion that it needs to be ordered online.

Oh, Blush at me figuring out about the links opening in new tabs, on the blog - it's goes a bit Pete Tong like that when I blog from the ipad. Sub optimal.

This skirt from H&M is not workwear, but it's beautiful in real life, and I think it's thick cotton.

Yikes to the leather dress, but I like the shorts and think they could be made work-okay for a little person!

The grey skirt is gorgeous.

Lurking - do you really want to hear about my silver shoe search!? Well. I was going to order from the Chinese site, but it doesn't have PayPal, so I thought perhaps a bit dodgy / unwise to punch in my debit card details. Paranoid? I went to Banana Republic today, and I must say their shoes are divinely comfortable. I also went to J Crew and theirs are t nearly as soft. So.... I will prob order the BODEN wedges, but I really am not looking for wedges I have realised, while hoping against hope that I can pick up some BR ones via eBay. I will also order the black Allegra pointed flats as they aren't so pointy that they will buckle at the point and the comfort factor is seductive. God, have some Wine, that was a but epic.
