Ooooh I have a dilemma;
I'm bringing Dd to London for our first girls trip. She wants to shop in the hell hole that is Top Shop Oxford circus, Forever 21,the big H and M and worst of all Hollister where I'll totally freak and get a headache because it's so frigging dark Sad . It's really all about her. But as the weekend approaches I can feel my excitement growing, that funny feeling I get when I know I get to go to BIG shops. selfish, bad mummy
AIBU to want to do my shops too Grin

Or I'll take her - I like all those shops!

Evening.

I mentioned the MU to DH and he looked at me as if I was mad but was too polite to say anything. So I am a 'maybe' Wink

novice take good care of yourself, your body is telling you something.

And I might actually have to take my own advice and go and see a dr as I can't seem to shake off this cold. I don't have a temp anymore but am still coughing a lot and feeling rundown in general.

Before going on holiday I ordered some bargain navy Gigi's on Shopbop (I blame decam who pinned them) and they arrived today.

They are more of a grey navy but very nice nevertheless and will be more of a neutral colour compared to my cobalt and red Gigis.

mara have you cracked and bought a Trio? I wore mine on the plane because I had a Le Pliage full of stuff to keep the DC entertained as hand luggage so couldn't take another big handbag.

Amber you're on! If you're busy plan b is to go to champ bar at Selfridges to charge my batteries then have a little snooze on one of the leather armchairs in a dark corner in Hollister Grin

I'm in for MU!

Linus that's a lot of Gigis. Navy sounds nice, I'm going to try and get my first pair in the US next month - probably tan.

Dry your plan for a shopping day sounds lovely. I'm sure you can fit in a few shops for you Wink, you'll need a break from all the big shops as it's the weekend and they'll be heaving. She will love it though! I can't go shopping with my mum anymore as she disapproves of how much I spend on things Grin

dry I hope to feel the same way as you when DD is a teenager!

My shopping trips with DM when I was a teenager were mostly horrible as I had, and still have to a certain extent, a very classical taste in clothes and she did not. It has gotten better though over the years, probably because she isn't holding the purse strings anymore.

blair Blush I know but they are so comfortable and work with anything. I have my eye on an acid yellow pair I bought for DM last year and which she has never worn. Grin

That's so sweet shop :) Before you know it she'll be in the Selfridges champagne bar with you which will be even more fun!

Ohhh Linus I didn't mean that, I'm impressed! I am taking your 3 pairs of gigis as a recommendation! Grin

MU list is looking good!

Ok so I'm wearing dh's bright green cheap H&M sweater and got two compliments. Ok one was from dh (so only just counts). It's something isn't it? That phrase I can't use.

I said to DH tonight that if I lose any more weight I'll need new clothes. He said you can either have an £1800 new fence, or you can have new clothes. Hmm choices, choices....
