Good thread title, I am very sour! BTM, thanks, I can't get away tomorrow (and am really quite sour and grumpy at the moment). Have a lovely time, crepeys, and I hope to come next time (I used to go to Waterloo place years ago).

QQ , yes, definitely drinking before eatingWink

Shame you can't make it Lalsy.

DD fell asleep on her bedroom floor last night - was flat out when I went in at 7pm, DH couldn't wake her and was in her bed asleep in full uniform when I went in at 9pm - I am hoping that she slept the whole night through....

bigTillyMint · 25/04/2014 07:39

Yay! She slept the whole night and asked me politely for help this morningShock!

Report
Auriga · 25/04/2014 07:51

She needed the sleep Smile. DD stayed up stupidly late and slept in almost on principle in the holidays but it doesn't suit her. When will she realise? Probably in her 50s

Marks place - see you later crepeys - I shall be the knackered looking one (not sleeping) with sore feet...

I've about 10 minutes to decide whether to drive to work this morning and drive home at lunchtime or to contemplate catching a bus. I topped up Oyster last night so it is a hard choice.

I'm old and knackered too. I'll be wearing a purple cord coat btw as I won't know who I'm looking for - I think I've met BTM before.

Morning, sorry to be missing the meet up tonight. Judging from the quantity of rain that came down last night, I might have to swim out later!

Have a lovely time tonight, ladies, sorry I won't get to meet you windymill - another time, I hope.

Crem - filming is for an online viral advertisement thing for the States I think, but hopefully we'll get to see it. Our house is quite American in style so we get the odd location person coming round who is looking for that. We have had one short film shoot here which was hilarious - I cleaned up the main rooms like a mad lady and when they arrived to recce that said it was a bit too nice and they were looking for something shabbier, whereupon I was able to take them upstairs and show them the disastrous bathrooom and a range of peeling paper, damp stains and elderly carpet. They loved it Grin. And thanks re AirBnB, that would be brilliant. My advertisement is not quite done yet (waiting for better photos) but will pm you a link when it's done. BTM - we used to rent out our spare room on AirB&B at our old house after our lodger left and it worked really well (spare room was in basement away from rest of bedrooms). Here we have a little garden studio with a shower room which is habitable in the summer, so this is the first time we have tried it for guests, we'll see ow it works out. It is very nice to have some extra pocket money.

Ruby - my dd needs more sleep than the boys, always has. She had a sleepover on Monday night and is still being a bit of a moose. Although that could be hormones which I think are starting to kick in.

What ho sour ones. My reason for sourness is that DP is having not one but TWO (2, ii) lovely meals out today - lunch at Yauachta (sp?) and another one somewhere lovely this evening, while I will be eating leftovers. On the plus side, the leftovers include a pear and ginger crumble he made last night. On the downside, I was aiming for a low-carb day.

Also sour as feel utterly shafted. Not sure if it's to do with starting exercise again, which seems to make me feel more knackered than energised, or possible anemia. The inside of my eyelids have absolutely no colour, and I believe are supposed to be vibrantly red.

I wish we had a spare room and more than one loo. Having people to stay over is a logistical nightmare, and I fret about not being able to access the lav in the morning. IBS... TMI...

I never know what sets off my IBS. I know curry and wine don't help, but are frankly worth it. I suspect refined wheat is not great - when I don't eat bread, I'm a lot better gastrically speaking.

Ds is very much like me... Likes an early night and an early morning! So at the moment is absolutely knackered as he has spent 7 days with his owl of a cousin...
Wilbur I am curious about the house! (Has dp emailed you?)

Ruby - ditto! Ds2 who is 2 year younger than dd, needs very little sleep (he is actually some kind of perpetual motion machine, scientists should study him) and if he goes to bed too early he's up in the night, ready to party. At the moment, we manage to get them to go to bed at the same time but I imagine that will be harder and harder to enforce when she goes to secondary next year. The change in her temperament when she is tired is grim, even dh, who spends a lot of time wrapped around her little finger, says she's a 'mare when sleep-deprived.

American house was built in late 50s but someone who had clearly been inspired by the USA houses of the time. It's our little piece of Los Angeles in Streatham.

Right, better crack on, I have to do laundry now.

I'm something of an owl, whereas DP is of the lark persuasion. DS seems, luckily, to have fallen between the two stools and tends to go to sleep about 8, and wake up about 7. However, this may of course all change. I'm hoping he tends towards the later rising!

Talking of 'stools', did I tell you about an old lady acquaintance of my mum's, who whenever using a word that had even the slightest chance of a double entendre would say 'excuse me' in front of it. For example "falling between two 'excuse me' stools", or "I'll hang that picture on the chimney 'excuse me' breast". Thus rendering perfectly innocent words rude, and making her attempts to be demure actually making her look like a right old perv.

Still a favourite game chez herbs.

Hello lovelies.

I'd forgotten perhaps because I wasn't listening that DP has gone to Luxembourg today (why? WHY? I definitely wasn't listening). He won't be back till at least 7, so that really does mean I think I can't come out.

Also, in all honesty, I am feeling a bit skint.

I love your (the, our) new title QQ.

Why don't DC get themselves enough sleep when they can, in the main, unlike like us meerkat crepeys, get said sleep like falling off logs? Rant over.

Feel the need to report that I started my adventures in HRT yesterday. I will update. When DH came home, I was mid prolonged, hysterical laughter bout reading brilliant texts from parents to children. He seriously thought that the crying spluttering, honking laughter was the result of taking one tiny estrogen pill Hmm

I am definitely a daytime person - not early morning or late at night. I don't usually sleep in after 8 am though. DD1 is your regular party girl and with all the stress of exams I suggested some vitamin B6 - she thinks I'm trying to dope herSmile.

Wilbur viral ad sounds interesting and a bit of fun. Do you have a clap board stylee property? I am thinking of Martha Stewart Grin

< wonders about renting out dds room next year for crepey trips to Wilbur's lodge>
