Where in the hell do I find nice blouses, with short sleeves. Not cap sleeves, not sleeveless but short. Like just above the elbow. I've done asos, next, m&s, dotty p, wallis, river island..........Am I looking for the impossible. Just something cool to wear in the summer without showing off my meaty northern arms. Thanks!

Pure Collection do silk satin short sleeved shirts, so prob not see through like many silk blouses.

Watching with interest as I want something similar in white or pink, preferably without buttons, more of a t-shirt style.

Thanks. I am looking for the impossible I think as I am restricted in fabric - so silk (basically anything nice or drycleanable) with two children is a no go. Don't do polyester much either as it stinks. or am I behind the times on this?

Belinda - thanks, needs to be v neck. Price up to £50. Winter, so nice bright colours for me. Nothing gathered from a round neck. I am asking the impossible I'm sure.

I knnow a lot of colours are 'drab' looking but there thing is to be neutral. The keep a narrow palllette of colours. But there stuff is so eay to wear day to day and team up with other stuff.

The silk panel T's - I discovered these last year they have a wide banded bottom and the front is loose with pin tucks so easy to cover but still have shape - I love them for me...the feel so nice on. You may get them down to 30 to 40 in sales.

Check House of Fraser and John Lewis as they have Mint Velvet as a concession.

I think their vests and laering ts are way over priced. I like their jeans seem to keep colour well. Most knitwear is fine but some is a little flimsy. Their boxy shapes dont fare well on me.

I have some nice blouses from Yumi and Sugarhill Boutique with that length sleeve. The only thing is I think they are all synthetic.

I get mine from a selection of places but next, white stuff, mango mainly. I don't mind poly though. Depending on budget jigsaw and jaegar often have silk or silk mix ones although as you say silk isn't great with dc. I've a couple previously from vero moda although they are viscose.

DvF does great blouses. If you don't want to pay full price you can pick them up on ebay.
