Is it too early for summery clothes?

I'm going to a party later for a friend's child's christening and I've got a feeling everyone's going to be really glammed up. My dresses are either really wintery or really summery! I was thinking maybe a floral skirt with a plain vest top, but I don't want to look a twat if it's too early for summer clothes. It's also closer to my comfort zone than a more formal dress cos tbh I'd rather be in jeans and a t shirt - I always feel like I stand out a mile when I dress up! Help!!

The local forecast is for mist and a high of 14 degrees. I would freeze in your choice of clothes.

Brrr far too cold still for a vest top!

We're forecast highs of 21 and it's apparently 14 at the moment, which is what's making me think a vest top and skirt might be ok! I'd probably look rather silly though Grin

A tee instead of a vest could work? I would definitely take some sort of warm layer though as it's pretty changeable still.

I think I'm going to go with a more formal dress and just brazen it out if no one else is dressed up! I'm really crap with clothes in general, I've lost a load of weight so have just bought the basics til I hit target (pretty much there) so I'm stuck with stuff that fits, stuff that's way too big and stuff that could do with being a bit smaller. I can't wait for summer as most of my summer stuff is in the "could do with being a bit smaller" category, whereas winter I've not bothered with too much as I'm usually wearing a coat when out and about!
