Interestingly enough I bought some unmentionables yesterday similar to the ones posted by MI earlier. I put them on this morning and it was after that DH decided he wasn't going cycling today .... Not sure if this was unwarranted optimism or not. Wink

What's wrong with dog Beachy?

Where's the thread MI (although not sure I should look as I was suicidal re my body last night....)

Hopefully I will be a shiny happy crepey with a drink in my hand tonight - drama's this morning over phones not working and no clean school shirts (there were 2 brand new age 13 shirts in the wardrobe), but they were way too small, and DH had put DS's shirts in his own wardrobe. They have DS's name tag inside the collar FFS! Emergency M&S order of size 16 done - why does it all come back to me?Angry

I have purchased some small black lace bikini pants, which is possibly not the appropriate response to friend's terminal diagnosis but I feel he would laugh at. Then I can chuck out some of the knackered ones I am currently sporting.

Thread is in AIBU about 'where are all the fat people' to which many posters are saying we are all fat and in denial.

Maybe I should buy some large pants too Grin

We thought ddog had kennel cough, but after 5 days of antibiotics may now be worse than kennel cough. Not sure what worse is, but he is in there, being chest X-Ray'd and having cameras stuffed down his throat. Dh would not look kindly on me collecting dog and then buggering off to London leaving dozy coughing dog on the sofa.

I would just like to add that I now have an array of knicker clad ladies down the right hand side of my screen Grin and they are all slimmer and more toned than me (which is not surprising as they are underwear models and I am a crepey!)

Hello shiny thread.

No, BTM, I haven't painted my TOEnails (not planning to wear sandals just yet; I'm not crazy), but my fingernails are now a very sparkly and crepe-tastic metallic gold.

I have also been ordering uniform - 85-worth - new blazer for DS, and new skirts for DD1, who is quite literally popping out of her current ones. They also wear polo shirts in the summer term, so needed more of those.

DD1 asked me the other day if she could possibly buy a bra. She was so embarrassed about it she wrote the request in a note, bless her. Even though she is 13 in a couple of month's time she is still as flat as a pancake, not even so much as a bee-sting, so I bought her some cropped-top-type things which she seems pretty happy with. She just wants to be like her mates who are all developing curves and periods, but she is a late developer, like me, it would seem.

Really looking forward to tonight. DH has been primed to stay off the sauce for the evening, so he can nip to the station and pour me into the car in the wee small hours.

I must try to exercise restraint tonight, as have to drive to Bracknell tomorrow morning, and be reasonably with it. But I do get very giddy when faced with prosecco and chums.

Hhhhmmm. I think maybe not re: Chooks, sad to say. I know my (really low) limits when it comes to further responsibilities.

Thank you so much for invite QQ but I have a date with DH and season one of Veep tonight. I will raise a glass to you all and may wear my River Island long line silver top. I can't link to it as if I don't get off the internet now I will have to slap myself but is very worth the £25 and I plan to wear it any old time. Looks good with light green cargos and black skinnies.

I will also raise said glass to all the crepey pets.

Horrible, horrible time at the hospital. Now home and drinking tea and eating cake. She didn't give me enough anaesthetic. I screamed. It was hideous, she had to keep stopping and giving me more anaesthetic. Then she "nicked a vein" so had to stop and sew that up. I don't know how many stitches I've got; they wouldn't tell me. So glad it's over.

Owww, MrsS, that sounds awful. Hope you are going to take it easy this w/e.

Dh is being a grumpy old unappreciative so-and-so and dd is being a diva. Am seriously tempted to grab a bag containing clean pants, a toothbrush and a sparkly scarf and run away to London. Grin
