I have just bought a navy dress for work, would black tights go, or should I go with navy?

I'm a tights novice!

Navy. Not black.

Some dark red/maroon ones would be nice. Or dark grey. Not sure about black or navy.

Depends on the dress tbh - style, shade and fabric.

Dark grey or burgundy?

I'd go for teal, mustard, grey or burgundy.

Ooh grey sounds good. I don't think I'd feel comfortable in non-neutral colours, I'm normally always in trousers, so I feel quite conscious, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone slowly!

As that's a summer dress I'd go for sheer natural or 'lightly tanned' stockings or tights.

I wear black opaque or semi-opaque tights and black shoes with navy dresses/skirts in the winter - no problem with black and navy together in my opinion.

Just seen the dress. Yes to nude tights. Black would be completely wrong and I don't think grey would work at all with it.

I would go for nude too.

What shoes will you wear with the dress?

The white trim makes me more likely to advise nude tights anyway. If you had dark legs it would look wrong. Also short sleeves - bare arms. So, nude tights means your arms and legs would be the same colour.

I bought some nice tights from Sainsburys - with just a little bit of gloss - not too shiny, but just enough to make the legs look nice.

I'd go for grey, mustard, nude or a deep or hot pink.
