Dark spots on face

I have a couple of dark spots on my face that appeared during my last pregnancy. I am kind of used to them but just recently a few people have commented on them so I think they are becoming a bit more noticeable Shock
Can anyone recommend any dark spot correctors please? There seem to be quite a few around but they all have mixed reviews. Would bio oil work? I've also read about lemon juice fading them so I'll give that a go anyway.

I have started using an spf35 face cream this winter. I guess I'll need to up that to 50 in the summer. Are there any that aren't likely to cause spots?

I'm such a catch - spots and dark spots Grin

I just wanted to add that taking the pill can cause these dark spots too. I had them in pregnancy, and then years later through taking the pill and had no idea that the pill caused tgem snd it is a common side effect. mine are still there even after I stopped tajing the pill and are worse in the summer. I use sp50 now.

It's called melasma. Mine fade with time, then return when I'm exposed to sun. I haven't needed fading creams. They are controversial and some of the active ingredients are banned in the EU. Eere I to try something, I might start with Eucerin Even Brighter.

I use very high SPF sun protection and avoiding direct sun exposure. If the sun is strong enough, no SPF has has been effective enough - I routinely apply SPF in the morning and always top up before I go out. I use a fluid sunscreen atm because the greasy ones seem to be major acne inducers for me.

Mineral makeup is great for covering hyperpigmentation.

I might just stick to the lemon juice then. I'm not on the pill but thinking about that out the coil in the near future so another thing to consider! Might just invest in some better coverage foundation Smile

Grapeseed oil is supposed to even out skin pigmentation.

this works, nothing dramatic but I have used it for a while now and do think I can see a fading in the dark spots on my face.
