smashbox photo finish primer, worth the ££?

I saw it used in a make up tutorial but not sure if I want to spend £25 on yet another Primer?

I'm using benefit porefessional ATM but tbh I really don't see much difference between my face with or without it.

Any other suggestions?

Lama cane anti chafing gel is £6 ( on 3 for 2 in boots) and is pretty much the same thing.

ask the counter if you can have a trial, i like it but don't use all the time

Lanacane? Wouldn't have thought to use that!

Will definitely ask for a sample. Although I need to find somewhere that stocks it first. I don't recall ever seeing it in debenhams.

I have it - I don't really use it, because it takes a lot of blending to get it to be right. I'm very pale, though!

I don't see enough of a difference when it's on to make me apply it, but I don't use anything else either - just moisturise.

I find it really sort of 'oily' and it makes my face look shiney after a while. I've just gone back to Benefit Porefessional which I much prefer. Would you like to try my smashbox one Mike? I've only used a bit of it and it's just sat in my makeup box. I only bought it about 6 weeks ago. If you PM me where to send it, I'll bung it in the post.

Is the shu uemura one the mousse? I've heard good things about it.

yes, the uemura one is so light you really don't feel it. the smashbox one sort of gives you a silky feel, like you have something on your skin

Lanacane is the best primer ever!

Boots on line had a trial size smashbox products set. It had a couple of primers in, mascara and eyeliner? It was around xmas time though.

My mum bought me a tube of the smashbox as a gift and I loved it but I've changed over to lanacane and it's just as good I think.

I don't rate the Smashbox one. I liked the Clarins primer but it was pricey, currently have a Body Shop Vit C thing which is ok and plan to try the Lanacane Anti-Chafe next

I don't like the Smashbox. I found it claggy and difficult to apply, shiny after a while and it also did something weird (maybe I put it on too soon after moisturizer?)...it sort of balled up into little white bits. AND it made me break out.

Quick update. The extremely lovely nikki sent me her primer to try and I love it. I can see a big difference between this and my benefit porefessional. My make up feels like its still on at the end of the day.

Definitely something I'll buy again.

//thanks Nikki

The best primer I have ever used is Avon magix .

Tried all the more high end ones and nothing works as well

And it's cheap

I recently bought rhe smashbox as ove been dying to try it for ages
I got the small one which was about 12.50 for a tiny tube. It says to use a pea size amount which I didnt get as that nowhere near covered my face!
Now ive started using mich more and it feels better. Still unsure whether any better than the cheap MUA one I had previously though.
