Are these shoes nice?

Saw these in Marie Claire:

I think they are quite nice, but I've been in hospital and am still a bit out of it. What would I wear them with? They might a bit be too pale for me...

They are gorgeous and I desperately want them but they're too expensive to justify Sad

I saw these in the shop and liked them.

I would wear them with a pretty floral tea dress and a blazer.

Might have a look later in the week. Floral tea dress/blazer combo would work well. If I had them!

Sorry, but I don't like them at all.

I think they could only be worn with a crimplene housedress.

Not for me, sorry

I like them.

I think they're hideous. I have a pair of brogues in a similar colour, but the holes cut out just make me thing of old-men sandals (and socks)

Disclaimer: I'm not stylish AT ALL, so may have no idea of what's nice / stylish.

I don't like them sorry op, but I don't like brogues in general.

I like them too, maybe with skinny jeans slightly rolled up and a nice Breton sweater..

Without the cut outs would be perfect. With the cut outs- not so much.

I don't like them, but I have noticed lots of people wearing similar types of shoes. They might look ok if you have small dainty feet, but anything bigger than a size six and they may look clumpy.

They're not for me, but it's a personal style thing. I don't find them offensively ugly, like Irregular Choice shoes, for example, but I just don't like that particular kind of shoe. I'm not a brogue lover.

Crimplene housedress?!?!? Oh deary me....

The cut outs are what I like about them - and only in the off white. I think the navy and the mushroom are veering into 'old man sandals and socks' territory. I'm not usually a fan of brogues - at least not on me.

Good point about small and dainty possibly making or breaking it. Whilst I am a size 8 and 5 ft 7, I have size 7 feet.

I think I need to see them in the flesh so to speak and think VERY carefully about whether I actually have anything to wear with them.

Thanks everyone.

I bought last years version of these, thinking I'd wear them loads.

The leather is tough and tricky to break in, and they just didn't match as much as I thought they would...

So, while I like them, I'd think carefully about spending lots on them if you don't already have the clothes to match. Or the money to buy clothes to match :)

They are okay.

Agree with the size point though...I think this style only works on relatively petite feet.

You would have to wear them with bare feet ugh blisters

I like them and await a discount code. I will wear them to work, all being well, for YEARS.

I saw these irl this weekend and really liked them! I really like the cutouts but maybe it's just me Grin

I like them but I'm sad to say that they're the kind of thing that looks fresh and edgy if you're young and slim and generally give off the air of being trendy (or Kate Moss) but would look frumpy and middle aged on most of us.

Diane Keaton is the only person in the world who would look good in those shoes!

Sorry - hideous, like men's shoes with bits cut out for no real purpose

I don't like them, but I have no style either. I think I'd need to see them on feet.

They are gorgeous and are on my wishlist. I am a recent convert to brogues having hated flats all my life. I'll wear them with slim boyfriends, a stripey top and a blazer. Just waiting for a 20% off code!

I like them, but I was a bit alarmed when I saw one of the reviewers is planning to wear them at Crufts.
