Blood blister on face

Does anyone know how best to deal with a weird blood blister-type thing (on my forehead)? It's pretty small but bright red so hard to miss.

Have had it for a few months and it doesn't seem to be shifting.

TIA.

You need to see a gp.

I have a few of these, in a variety of places! I saw my GP about them and they are nothing to worry about, they have a name, which I've forgotten, but they aren't cancerous or scary. However, as its on your face its a different matter, you should go to your doc and ask about having it removed if its v noticeable.

I have one on my eyelid. Been there for years. I ask this genuinely - is it honestly a GP matter? Mine bothers me from a cosmetic point of view but nothing more.

Is it a nevus?

I have a one that looks like a pin prick. It is a blood vessel that show on the surface of the skin.

I once meddled with it around thirty years ago and it wouldn't stop bleeding for ages! I thought it wouldn't stop at one point and envisaged bleeding to death!

I had one on my back, wasn't sure what it was as it was bleeding occasionally so I went to see my GP. He send me to the Hospital and i had a examination and they offered to burn it then and there, which i took. Gone for good, no more plaster and blood stain.

GP do not under any circumstances pick it or mess it about. I had something on my face that I scrubbed at and it came up like a big blood blister, everytime I washed my face or knocked it even a little bit it would literally pour with blood, dripping out, had to get it cut out under local at the hospital.

Really? Cripes. I have had the little pin prick things which I once picked at a child causing it to bleed horrendously.

The one in my eye is more like a blood blister and it occasionally changes size.

passmethecrisps sounds like one of these
cherry hemangiomas. These round, bright red or purple spots are made up of blood vessels and are 1–4 mm in size. A person can have many cherry hemangiomas all over his or her body. These lesions are benign and do not necessarily need to be removed, though many patients have them removed for cosmetic reasons. If raised, they can become bothersome, and if they are scraped, bumped, or injured, they may bleed or become painful.
that's what mine was I think but I scratched at it trying to get rid and it all went wrong Sad
