Comfortable (really comfortable!) ballet pumps

Preferably the bendy sort with elastic round the top. Are there any reliable online sources? I've got a great pair from Pretty Ballerinas but the cost was eye watering and I don't particularly like their current fabrics. I'm off to Paris in a couple of weeks for a mix of work and sightseeing so need some shoes that I can walk around in while also being smart enough for wearing with a dress...

I usually go for Hush Puppies. They need breaking in, but once they do, they're fab and last ages.

I have a black patent pair from Clark's. Most comfortable shoes after Fit Flops! Wore them non stop when I was a home-carer and on my feet a LOT. Still going strong now a year down the line and worn pretty much most days.

So comfortable. They've got the elasticated tops and soft rubber soles. I've got four pairs of them and use them a lot especially travelling.

They're Danish but postage is free (yippee) and took a little over a week to arrive last time.

I only wear Bloch ones. They aren't cheap and are leather soled so don't last forever. But then I live in London and walk miles in them so prob not a fair test. You can normally get discounted ones on those end of stock shoe seller places like yoox and the like.

They are really comfy, never need breaking on. I have a fetching purple snake skin pair on at the moment. I have been wearing them all day and my feet are still v comfortable

I have four pairs of the real leather/suede Primark ballet pumps, and they're fab. Need mild breaking in, but nothing major. They're not very supportive though.

Bloch ones are amazing. I missed out on some for £30 on the Outnet clearance sale this morning dammit. I was wearing my brown snakeskin ones for work earlier.

I got some from TK Maxx years ago, and made the mistake of posting my find on here, the thread went haywire and now there are never any in stock

They are leather soled though, one reason why they're so comfy, but they will never last stomping around really so I wouldn't pay full price (£120 ish) but I'm quite stingy with shoes generally as they get trodden on, by their nature they don't seem worth spending £££ on.

They're a French company and have a great shop in Paris which is well worth a visit

They do all sorts of shoes, not just ballet flats. I own four pairs of Arche shoes. My mum and sister each own at least 6 pairs, my sister is on her feet a lot at work (she's doing her intern year as a newly qualified doctor - I'm just a bit proud!) and she won't wear anything else on her feet for work.

They're not cheap, but not crazy expensive either and they last forever! No I don't work for them if I did I down a lot more than four pairs
