Will try and explain succinctly.

Red,White or black. Red is current obsession though.
Flat shoes sort of ballerina style except I want them to open lace across the foot and above the ankle.

They're in my head and they must be out there somewhere......

Sounds to me like Highland Dance shoes?

Flangeofmingetown Sun 09-Mar-14 17:06:23

YES! very similar but a little more open on the foot like ballerinas. They are tempting though....

Tethers love the tan ones of the first lot. They would be perfection in red.x

What about these?

Although the photo shoes the laces finishing around the foot, they could also go round the ankle. And you could buy red laces to replace the ones they come with.

"A completly new development in Highland Dance Footware combines a new super-flexible ultra-fine microfibre material with modern production techiques to provide the next breakthrough in dance footware to create a shoe which is more supple and breathable than leather and amazingly durable. With Colourz, the colour is built into the material so it won't rub off and is resistant to tearing, scratching and rubbing. Non-Stretch, Softer and Lighter than Leather, it needs only a damp cloth to regain it's sheen and sparkle."
