Rosecea and skin products

I've had rosecea for 2-3 years, it started in pregnancy and now comes and goes. It not horrendous but is definitely becoming more noticeable.

I'm having real problems with products. I've tried mineral makeup but it aggregates my skin. I've just tried a new moisturiser which has made my face sore. I wondered if others had any tips on what works for them...

Rosacea can be really finicky. I have acne/rosacea/perioral prone skin and when my skin has been really raw, I didn't use anything (except Fissan nappy cream, water and castile soap). After my face healed, it seemed to tolerate quite a few products that were a no-no before. Still trying to use as little as possible but mineral makeup seems to be okay on me now. When my skin was really sore, just about anything hurt a lot - that throbbing sore face feeling and the red flush that comes with it.

I'm fascinated by the Demodex theory of rosacea.

Oh good lord...just read about the theory. So my face is essentially full of dead mite poo.

Hope not but giving the topical treatment a go might not be a bad idea (ideas what people use here). But do discuss with a dermatologist because many natural oils are quite allergenic and any medication can have side effects and your skin sounds particularly sensitive.

I tried Nizoral cream on my skin, had a massive flareup right after (mites committing mass suicide? not sure though whether Nizoral is potent enough to kill them...) but right now my skin is weirdly clear, unfussy and problem free Wink Rosacea tends to come and go though so it could be a coincidence just as well.
