This could be a mid life crisis... I recently started thinking about buying myself a leather jacket. But wonder if I'm too old - 45years. Never had one, and also then worried if people take against them. Any advice? Cut, colour etc. I'm very pale, brownish hair. Including don't do it, you are too old!
I don't think even the hardcore mutton police object to leather jackets. Do they? They're a classic although styles and shapes can still date so I would spend time looking and trying on first. As always, there are lots of ideas on Pinterest. Agree that you don't have to get black - personally I think dark brown, as well as grey, can be more flattering.
Thanks. I'm not sure what style. Something like you describe that's classic and goes with lots of outfits would be good. Not keen on lots of zips. Will look up Betty Barclay.
They also come in a huge price range. Is it worth stretching myself? Or try and stay sensible. I saw a brown one in TK Maxx that I almost really liked, which was about £80. But John Lewis is more like £300-400. So almost feel paralysed by indecision!
I love mine, it is darkest brown, super soft and thick. I got it for twenty quid on Ebay but think it would have been quite expensive new, it doesn't have a brand but the size label looks qualityish and it just feels so niiiiice . It is not a biker or a blazer, don't know how I would describe it really. Never seen one like it.
I am 35 now but hope to wear it for decades to come. Leather is for all ages.
