Hello

I need some help with bras asap as im just on my way bra shopping.
Ive been wearing a 32c though left breast is bigger and seems to need a bigger cup.

After reading the bra intervention threads I re measured and was 30 under breast and 35 over the fullest part. I got myself to be a 30dd. I am a size 8 to 10 clothes.

Well I went shopping and tried on 30dd felt fine so bought two. However every day since im getting red marks near armpit where wire is and slightly on shoulder too. Does this mean its too small?

I retried shoppinh yesterday and tried 32 d. The band felt slight ly looser though not too loose but cup looked baggy. Same with a dd obviously.

Im confused now.

The problem with the armpit marks could be a style issue rather than size. I'd try some other brands and styles.

If you have marks at the shoulder, I think that's a sign of a poor fit. The band holds you up, not the straps.

I think when you first change it can take a few goes to find the right brand - I know I can't wear panache for example as the shape is no good for me, and freya offer too much wobble Shock

I'm sure an expert will be along soon ...

Trouble is I cant afford to keep buying only to find they arent that comfy when I get home.woukdnt mond if cheap asda or primark but for size 30 it has to be mpre expensive shops.

I measure 31 under 35 full & find a 32D is much better than a 30Dd

In a couple of brands 32D was very tight and I went up to 32DD but I feel The cups are a little big

Have you tried adjusting the straps?

If you wear an 8-10 you are probably smaller than a 30 back. Did you pull the tape tight? If the bra is on the wrong way round can you pull it far away from you? I think you should just be able to get a couple of fingers in.

I get this problem with certain styles/brands. I tend to fit balconette better as boobs are fuller at the bottom.

I haven't really adjusted straps much they were tightish when I bought and I kept them that way.

I can get two fingers under the band just comfortably.

Well I abandoned bra shopping until I have more time.
I went to m&s and tried on balconette style in 32 d. Back felt ok but cups had a gape.

Tried30dd and that felt comfortable and cups felt better but I didnt like the style. It was a memory foam push up style. I wasnt keen on push up effect. So im still confused.

Does it matter if a little gape a top of cups or not?

You shouldn't have any gaping as it's usually indication that the style is wrong. However, I have a Freya Deco which gives great cleavage. It gapes but I wear it with certain tops to get a cleavage type look.

On your measurements I'd stick with a 30 back. M&S sizing is a bit bonkers so I wouldn't worry about the sizes you tried there.

If you're not keen on a push up effect then try the Lepel Fiore Half cup or plunge, the Cleo Juna and other Cleo unpadded balconettes. The Bravissimo half cup styles are also excellent.

Ok thanks. I was limited with shops today but next time I will go to city centre where I can get anything except bravissimo.

I like balconette styles and I need a xouple of t shirt style ones. Actually m&s had some nive ones but only started from size 32.

The new 30dd felt comfy and no gape or bulge its just red marks making me feel fit cant be right.

TBH I get red marks from my bra bands but they're not sore, they're just like the marks you get from socks or waist bands.

Mine aren't sore either. Perhaps that's all it is.
