Desigual?!?

What's that all about then? The clothes are awful and expensive and just weird. Who are they FOR? I occasionally see a mum here and there at school wearing one of the coats but I just don't get it, they remind me of something you would buy off a hippy clothes stall at a festival or something.

I have wondered this too, discovered the brand in Spain about 8 years ago, can't believe how popular it's become, not to my taste at all.

Hideous stuff I agree wholeheartedly. The busy-ness of it hurts my brain. Clutter clutter clutter. Awful. Vomity looking stuff.

However, I had a quick look just now and this skirt takes my fancy. (Eh?) //blush. Nice for the summer, non? Sunshine, Sally Hansen tanned legs, nice top??? Anyone anyone?? Or have I finally lost the plot and should leave S&B?

I've looked at the skirt. I've gone back and looked again and no, it is just awful. Why does it look like it's got about three patterns at once? Why does it have that weird knotty bit at the front? Why is it nearly 70 quid? WHY?

I wonder of the designer is a fan of per Una? They seem to have that same insane more is better attitude.

I kind of like 'off-beat' designs but they are very funny looking aren't they? I see clothes like this in the little boutiques in places like Malaga. Very fussy. A lot of the 'more mature' ladies in Liverpool are wearing these little jackets with their sparkly jeans and expensive handbags.

I like the knotty bit! The skirt is calling me. And I generally don't do pattern. I like it. But yes too expensive for viscose. And the rest of the clothes are hideous. But I'm standing by my skirt. I will look again in the morning and see if my liking this skirt is tiredness. Wink

I do actually own a desigual skirt from a few years ago that I love and I also really like the skirt that lurking linked however I don't "get" most of it. I certainly have no desire to own a coat.

I really don't like it- far too fussy! Although there was lots of it about in the Côte d'Azur when I was there last summer.

I first saw it whilst on holiday somewhere in Europe and thought it was hideous.

I've now noticed it in the UK too and was quite surprised TBH as it seems a bit off the wall for most UK womens tastes.

I had a Desigual dress, it washed dreadfully and the fit was a little odd. SHan't be rushing back.

Is it Spanish.?My impression is that Spanish women are very conformist in how they dress and that this was to go-to place if you wanted to look 'kooky'. It's a bit OTT Joe Brown.

Just awful, I don't want to go out looking like I'm wearing a patchwork quilt Grin

Am torn. I love the way their stuff looks but it screams DESIGUAL which puts me off a bit, and the fit is odd. That said, I was on Regent Street the other day and there were gorgeous (albeit totally impractical) white trench coats in their window and a big part of me went oooohhhhh...

And because I clicked on this I'm now getting all their ads instead of the lovely necklaces another thread led me to! Not my style at all.

My mother in law wears it, she has a tasteful coat and handbag.
Its quite nice in moderation on a mid sixties lady.

Not for me though

It's pretty expensive.
None of the new collection appears to be available on the website.

Have a (horrible) expensive dress my husband bought for me a few years ago - never worn...... very, very low 'v' neck - never quite sure how to wear it!!!!! And very tight (in a too small way & I'm small!!!!)

Oh dear I like that skirt too, what's wrong with me? I don't usually like patterns. Usually desigual makes me Confused.

I know Johnny! Strangely attractive skirt amongst all the spew.

cerealqueen, I don't know who Kat from Eastenders is, but I will assume she is a woman of very fine taste indeed.

There is a green dress on there that I like. Never bought anything but surprised to see stuff that I think is in my size and some cotton stuff. Wow! Don't mind colourful stuff at all.

I detest this brand with a passion. It tries way too hard to be edgy and different and it just looks garish, busy and frumpy, particularly their asymmetric skirts.
