I've bought a few and was wondering which one to wear to a ball, but it's not super super smart I'm not so fond of my arms and hips but will wear a cardigan over any of the non-sleeve dresses.

Opinions please! Be as harsh as you like as there are a lot

I like the first the best and and the third as runner up. PLEASE don't wear a cardigan over any of them. You have a beautiful figure and ovely arms!

Alwaysbloodyhungry Thu 06-Mar-14 19:08:02

5 and 7 get my vote. And yes no need for cardigans!

dottyaboutstripes Thu 06-Mar-14 19:10:21

I like number 5, it looks fantastic, you REALLY don't need the cardigan smile

Hooleywhipper Thu 06-Mar-14 19:10:51

1&3 and again no cardigan!

Foxred10 Thu 06-Mar-14 19:12:32

Number 5 NO CARDI! wink

Funnyfoot Thu 06-Mar-14 19:12:35

For a ball number 1 looks the most special. The rest are lovely but a little boring looking.

7 is the most elegant and stylish. The others are fine but not very exciting. My second favourite would be no 1.

And listen to everyone when they say - no need for a cardi. Your arms are fine!!

Canalside Thu 06-Mar-14 19:17:09

Ooh, 7 is lovely. No need for a cardigan! (where is it from?)

AcaciaBeez Thu 06-Mar-14 19:18:04

Thanks for all your advice - I might look fine but it's an event where there will be lots of skinny minnies.

I'm leaning towards 5 as it's the comfiest too.
I don't get out much so I'm very nervous about this!

zippyswife Thu 06-Mar-14 19:20:04

You have a gorgeous figure! I think you look stunning in 6.

AcaciaBeez Thu 06-Mar-14 19:20:08

They're all from asos this is number 7 on an asos model

jumperooo Thu 06-Mar-14 19:20:54

1 and 7 for me. You look great. No cardi!

Allalonenow Thu 06-Mar-14 19:22:19

Number 1 first choice
Number 7 second choice

No CARDI though!!

MelanieCheeks Thu 06-Mar-14 19:23:25

7 is my favourite.

Will you be dancing? Some of the others look a bit too constricting for movement.

And agree - no cardis! You can wear a lightweight pashmina or shawl if you're cold going to and from the car.

HyvaPaiva Thu 06-Mar-14 19:23:45

Number 6 is my favourite! You look great!

WowserBowser Thu 06-Mar-14 19:26:14

I like 7. And 3.

And you have lovely arms!

thenightsky Thu 06-Mar-14 19:26:36

1 or 7 (preferably 1 as it's the most special 'ball' looking one)

Number 6 is a Morticia Adams dress!

Dilidali Thu 06-Mar-14 19:26:49

7. And 1and 3, you look great, silly!

If you're feeling self conscious, how about a big silver organza shawl? It'll lift the outfit and eventually annoy you enough to take it off and not care about what people might think. Would work with silver shoes.

AcaciaBeez Thu 06-Mar-14 19:28:12

I'm surprised 7 is so popular it was a sort of non-choice when I tried them all on.

There may be dancing but I probably won't so movement probably isn't a problem!

DaftSkunk Thu 06-Mar-14 19:29:40

I think number 1 and agree with the above comments a) you have a great figure and b) no cardigan!

MadameJosephine Thu 06-Mar-14 19:31:35

Number 3 stands out to me, you look fabulous! I agree a cardi would spoil the look of the others so if you are really worried about your arms (not that you should be)then a sleeved one may help you feel less self conscious?

saidnooneever Thu 06-Mar-14 19:31:48

1 and 7.

You've got a lovely figure . Don't wear a cardi.

BikeRunSki Thu 06-Mar-14 19:38:41

5 or 6
No cardigan, but you need some accessories to glam any of them (except maybe 1) up a bit.
Don't like 7 at all.

NachoAddict Thu 06-Mar-14 19:40:07

1 or 3, you look great in them all, no cardi necessary.
