Buying online. They are Suede & Leather according to the seller.
I think have my favourite already but it is more expensive....
Maybe MN will make me change my mind and go for the cheaper one.
Or maybe I just should buy the one I am feeling best?
It will supposedly last very long...

Disclaimer: I do need to use rucksack bag sometimes, and those seems more grown up and matches my style.
Currently I use a red Hawaiian print one I was given for free on Freecycle ...looks like a child's bag.

They look like the same bag?

Report
AcaciaBeez · 03/03/2014 21:34

I had to look about 20 tmes to see the slight difference
Prefer 1

Report
AfroditeJones · 03/03/2014 21:36

Yep
They look similar but if you open the photo bigger you see the colour and styles are slightly different.
And that is what make the decision so difficult.

Ok I still can't see the style difference but I think two colours looks better than three

I dunno..... not my style. Plus, I would say that you get a rucksack for practicality, yet suede is not a practical material.

Report
mirpuppet · 03/03/2014 22:15

Suede too heavy and will stain.

Report
AfroditeJones · 03/03/2014 22:17

Honest question, why is not suede a practical material for rucksacks?
I was looking for leather bags and came across these two.
I just need to carry some heavy stuff sometimes and have the hands free so backpack is the only option.

Yes, did some research on suede bags and understood why it is not practical.
Changed my mind to this one

What do you think?

It looks like a nice bag, though if you were looking for something more grown up perhaps it doesn't quite fit the bill.

Have you looked at Troop rucksacks? They are good quality canvas with leather trims, and look like they might fit in with your style, some are quite vintage looking.

I'm not keen on Kipling bags generally but I have this rucksack in a purple colour and find it really lightweight and practical.

Also these are quite cool, waterproof canvas. I have one of these too, I've got a dodgy pelvis post-pregnancy so have learned to love the backpack!

Go for something you really like and think you'd enjoy using.

Thanks. The one I linked (giraffe printing) is a bit childish you are right. I need remindind sometimes that I am not a teen anymore Blush. I don't like the troop rucksack style...also I never was attracted to kipling but not sure why? The third suggestion, already forgot the name, is interesting however so many colours to choose from, I can feel my angst building up already. I need a neutral colour that will work with most outfits and seasons but definitely not black. I am on my phone now but will have a good proper look at them later.

I LOVE the giraffe one (but I have a massive inner child)

If you just want a backpack this is pretty plain and ioffensive without being ugly www.johnlewis.com/mi-pac-classic-rucksack/p571336?colour=Black
or Eastpack do plain practical ones too

Another vote for Eastpak Amazon

I don't like the giraffe one at all.

How about these:

from china

I like the unusual style but worry about shape when bag is full and quality.

What do you think?

But I was actually biding on eBay instead of getting from the website.
I was outbid while getting my hair done :(

I prefer SmallPhoto1. I'm perplexed as to why it's up a tree, though.
