Does anyone have a MICHAEL Michael Kors handbag?

I have recently given up smoking and am saving up my fag money to buy myself a pressie. I have had a look online at these bags after seeing a couple of customers in my shop with them. The tote bags look nice and roomy without being too sack-like. Lots of colour choices too.

However, before I she'll out £250 I want to know if they are worth the money. What is the quality like? What about the lining? Pockets etc?

I don't have a tote but I do have the Selma in light grey. The quality is good, they are leather but not that soft buttery leather which I'm used to with other brands (Chanel, Alexander Wang) more like the feel of the Louis Vuitton monogram. So it feels a lot 'stiffer' than my other bags. I got it in the US for a little cheaper but yes the quality is great, very sturdy. The lining is just a light coloured monogram print.

I had a black studded tote bought from the Outnet five years ago. The chain strap snapped in Paris and I had to send it back . I loved it and am sure it must have been an aberration as they are very popular and wouldn't be if the quality was poor.

i think Michael Kors is very clever with his pricing- the bags are good enough quality to be a little bit aspirational but not barking prices. They are often on the Outnet so keep an eye out for a bargain on there.

I like that one Bella, the colour is really nice. Not sure if I prefer the ones with the zip across the top though.

I put Michael Michael because I wanted to make sure people knew I meant the cheaper range! I didn't want people to start recommending me bags that cost about £700. I realise now that I might look like a bit of a plank!

I've got a Jet set tote bought at half price on the Outnet. It is an excellent bag and I am really pleased with it - that model isn't lined though, which doesn't bother me at all but thought I'd mention it.

There is a good Michael Kors outlet at Cheshire Oaks, always has a nice range of bags in. I got a tan one last year - cant remember name but use as an everyday bag - (about £120).

I've got the large Jet Set in red and love it. It's structured and a really good size.

I travel a lot with work, so it's my hand luggage and fits a good 2 sets of clothes, make up etc.

Only issue with mine is that it is open top, no zip fasten.
