Oh wise ladies help me!

A quick decision to get married has thrown me into a fluster finding a suitable dress. Have a blue one I could wear but would prefer cream.

Have seen one in the old next catalogue (888-075), a cream lace dress, 3/4 sleeves. I'm after a 16 or 18. I've tried next to see if they have one hanging around, no joy, I'm going to try and outlet branch this week. I've scoured eBay but can't find it.

Anyone? Any other ideas? My budget is cheap.

Help, only got 3 weeks to sort this!

I can't link as I'm on my phone but there is a cream lace one in your size on Debenhams website? £20

Have you got a picture of the next one so we can see what style you like?

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:10:28

I'm on my phone so I can't link or attach a pic but it's basically a skater style.

I don't mind fitted as I'm quite hour glass but do have a post baby tum still.

What kind of length? Some of the skater ones are very short. Do you definitely want sleeves?

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:19:57

Around knee length, I'm 5 ft 5. It doesn't have to have sleeves but definitely don't want strapless, I have a ten month old and I'm not that brave, no one needs to see that, particularly the registrar!

are an of these it? there are couple that look like hey could be it. ebay

its a lovely dress, not skater dress at all, more vintage prom dress with sleeves.

frenchfancy Mon 24-Feb-14 12:31:52

Is this the sort of thing?

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 12:36:41

one on ebay from asos, might be worth looking on asos? asos

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:36:55

That asos dress would be perfect if it was a bit longer.

I prefer vintage prom dress as a description, yes that! I'm much more a vintage prom dress girl than a skater, reminds me of woolly beanie hats and baggy jeans. Yes I know they mean ice skater but say skater and I see skate boarder!

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 12:37:41

if you put cream lace skater dress 16 into ebay quite a few similar come up.

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:38:38

I thought I'd exhausted my eBay search terms but I'll try that.

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 12:41:23

remember the asos model is 5'9/5'10 usually so the dress would be longer on you.

Hatescolds Mon 24-Feb-14 12:44:03

any use ?

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:44:25

Good point, I'll compare the measurements to some of my other dresses.

Failing that a leg transplant! I'd pay a lot of money for a leg transplant!

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 12:51:14

Ooh that could be a goer, never remember to look at la redoute

frenchfancy Mon 24-Feb-14 12:53:07

what about simply be

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 13:00:27

I quite like this river island

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 13:03:47

too expensive?

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 13:13:06

this one has that vintage feel to it

Knowlee Mon 24-Feb-14 13:16:40

That marks one is lovely

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 13:21:00

you could go for the full vintage look with the marks one, very 50's, cute kitten heels, hair in an updo, chic chignon/almost beehive look, neutral makeup with stronger lip or eyes.

DavenotChas Mon 24-Feb-14 14:22:15

Is it from last summer? Kind of a nude shade with an underskirt, elbow length sleeves? If so, I've got a size 16 hanging in my wardrobe worn once. Will happily send it to you smile

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 14:31:07

DavenotChas if you put 888-075 into the quick shop section on, then select a size and add to basket a clickable picture comes up in the basket. It won't let me save though to add a pic here.

Vickiyumyum Mon 24-Feb-14 14:31:39

oh and that's a lovely kind offer of you to make the op thanks
