DP pants intervention - recommendations please

I've had enough of DP's raggedy-arse pants collection (I am pregnant and short on patience and I have to see them when I do the laundry.) Apparently, M&S had no acceptable replacements

So, I need a source of basic but decent quality, black trunks-style men's undies that don't go all dishcloth after a couple of washes.

Can anybody help save my relationship ?

dh wears asda/tesco black boxer shorts so i am sure they will do trunk style ones too

I know you said no M&S, but my DH was the same until I got him some of the modal/microskin hipsters from there, he says they're really comfy and don't look too awful apart from the bright purple ones he found in a multipack. Several styles here.

DH's best pants are Boden. Thick cotton, hold their shape well, no shrinking in the tumble and they haven't faded in god knows how many washes. M&S pants always go a bit saggy.

No, no, DP claimed M&S "didn't really have anything" in the vague sort of way he does when he's fibbing. I don't believe he actually bothered going at all!

DS is a small in men's pants (trunks really) and wears Tesco or Sainsburys. Quality is fine.

I think I'll bulk buy some more basic ones, as per recommendations, and some Boden ones for best. You can say what you like about Boden, but their stuff is usually pretty decent and lasts.

I'm not sure even the textile rag bank will want the old ones but they must be disappeared!

I buy the asda black trunks for hubby wash well, as lasted well thinking about it.

M&S men's pants are rubbish. Infact, so are their women's ones nowadays.

I find Next usually v good for pants, and excellent for socks.

Uniqlo seamless. DP has a few pairs, one in a rather racy magenta* and a few in black/grey/navy.

*does that make him a Winter? Anyway it means I get to call him the Pink Pantser, which will never not be funny.

I buy DH the 3 pack from M&S for about £18 and they are comfy, nice to look at and wash and dry really well. Been buying them for years as I used to pay a few pounds less than I do now for them.

Amnesty do great men's chuddies. DP tells me they are very comfortable and they seem to be good quality and survive lots of washes. And it's a really good charity to support.
