I LOVE Roger Vivier's 'Belle Vivier' type shoes.

Simple elegance. However, I can't justify the price tag. I am happy to pay Kurt Geiger type prices, but close to £500… for shoes? Nope.

Does anyone know a make that does similar shoes? Less pricey but good quality?

That shoe type is called pilgrim shoes and it became famous when Catherine Deneuve wore them in Belle du Jour.

I like pilgrims and they had a mini resurgence some time ago. You can find that shape occasionally in places like Yoox (I think I saw a version by Prada Sport there, much discounted) and then of course vintage versions.

Thanks!

I LOVE that style. But haven't seen anything like it recently - despite them being so simple.
