Huzzah! Jerry Hall has cut her hair.

Disclaimer: I am not suggesting people should feel obliged to chop their locks once they reach a 'certain age'.

But, I've been of the opinion for years that Jerry Hall would look fantastic without that dated, long set 'do' she's been carrying about since her teens. And now she does!

Behold how much better she now looks..............

It looks great. Much better.

Much better, would be even more so with a bit of a fringe. Katie Price has also chopped some of her extensions hair off and looks a whole lot better too.

So, she us still one of the ugliest women in the planet.

Now she's ugly and a boring clone of every other celeb her age.

And as she's only famous for not staying married to the ugliest man on the planet. I don't care!

Confused

She's very beautiful and has aged very well IMO.

I love her new 'do' - I have much the same.

Disagree about the fringe btw

You certainly sound like you care starball. A heck of a lot in fact.

Anyone saying what Starball has said immediately marks themselves out as having a very skewed sense of judgement. Just ridiculous.

She looks great but I think her hair was iconic in some way....maybe the hair should continue on and have a career of its own

I think she's a bit pretentious and says a lot of unintentionally hilarious things...

But, come on, saying she's ugly just makes you/one look ludicrously chippy/jealous/bitter/insecure.

She is beautiful - was incredible in her hey day and has aged remarkably well. That doesn't detract from the fact, IMO, she's a bit of a twit. It's just that the two things are not interlinked. As some people seem to think they are. Confused

Anywaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy, the new do is nice enough - better than the longer hair which was starting to age her. But on clicking on the link, I was hoping for something shorter and chic-er. The long mane was at least a definining feature of hers, now it's just a bit generic. She has the bone structure for something much more amazing. :)

Well I would argue that you are the one who isn't being very 'nice', as it's perfectly clear to me why someone as beautiful as Jerry Hall was/is a very successful model.

What I'm basically saying is that I think hair looks much nicer now. I don't think there's anything unpleasant about having that opinion.

Such topics tend to arise on the Style & Beauty boards.

P.S. I don't expect people to agree that she is beautiful per se, what with that being in the eye of the beholder and all, but saying she is ugly just marks you out as deluded.

She's not ugly.

I like her new hair, think it really suits her face.

I already 'worry' if I'm clinging to youth with my long hair (am 30) and not sure if I should try a more grown up do.

I would hardly call her hair cropped, it's still long. We seem going through a really rigid stage in hair fashion where longer is always better, I don't get it.
I like her hair better shorter, suits her shape of face better and makes her look more up to date. Waist length hair is rarely something that looks good.
I have never thought Jerry Hall was beautiful either, she's definitely not ugly but I've no idea how she became so successful as a model, I doubt she would now.

I think women shouldn't feel the need to cut off their hair as they age but in this instance it's a great improvement. It really suits her.

She's not ugly, and her haircut looks great - nice to see her change it. Glad she didn't go any shorter, but glad she has updated how she looks. Good for her - her hair was such a part of her look for so long, I imagine it would have taken some courage to chop it.

Longer is 'preferred' at the moment because is is more gendered, reflecting society in general. What is accepted as attractive is becoming narrower.

I can only dream of being as 'ugly' Hmm as Jerry when I get to her age.

And Mick Jagger was hot, hot, hot back in the day.

"Very few classic looks actually last for decades without tweaking IMO." - I agree.
