How much (if any) makeup do you wear to work?

I wear a fair bit of makeup to work, a little bit of everything - foundation, mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blusher and lipstick.

Most of my colleagues wear little or no makeup.
I'd like to do this but would feel self conscious, shiny and worried I look ill (am pale with dark under eye circles).

Was wondering what/how much makeup you wear and if anyone has any tips for a less made-up, but polished, look?

For years, I wore none but recently I've been wearing a bit of primer, blusher and lip gloss.

I wear foundation, eyeliner, mascara, blusher and lipstick. I never really go completely make-up free - I'm too pale and just look tired and washed out.

I wear foundation, powder, eyeliner, mascara and eyebrow pencil. I don't like to look too 'done' but I'm a nurse, I'm aware that often my face is what people are looking at when they're given devastating news, they don't need to see I've been up half the night with the small ones! I like to look professional and, to me, that means the basics of make up.

Quite a lot but a natural look and only takes 5 minutes:
Primer, tinted moisturiser, concealer, blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow mousse, powder. I don't look much different without any but I think I look a bit better with.

I wear eyebrow definition (hd brow kit)
Tiny bit of eyeliner and mascara
Sweep of powder and bronzer
Bit of lip gloss

I look worse with heavy make up but look sick with none. I am dark and very pale so need the bronzer.

I tend to wear a little bit of everything I just don't apply as much as if I were going on a night out/dressing up. So to work I wear:

Primer
YSL Touche Elcait for under eyes
Concealer if needed
Light foundation
Loose powder to set
Bronzer
Blusher and/or cheek highlighter
Subtle eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Mascara
Eyebrow pencil
Lipgloss

Disclaimer: I don't have children so appreciate that I have more time to faff about in a morning

I go through phases, sometimes nothing except eyebrow pencil (essential as mine are dark and gappy). Other times I will consistently wear foundation (cream to powder), eyebrow pencil, eye primer, neutral shadow, brown liner, a touch of msscara and a neutral lip colour. Most of the women I work with wear none. We're not public facing.

Just in answer to your question, would you ditch the foundation and go for powder with coverage?. I use creme puff by max factor

Aso if I wear eyeshadow I use a really light pink shadow from Clinique that opens up my eyes and is so much fresher than a brown or grey shade.

Foundation or BB cream and cheek tint every day, occasionally eyeliner and mascara.

Foundation, concealer, eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blusher and powder.

The idea is to look like I'm wearing none.

Concealer, powder, blusher, eyeshadow, eye liner & mascara. Otherwise I look half asleep. I never realised how much more alive I look with blusher on until after I had my DTDs.

Left my make up bag at work one day last week (had stayed late for the school production (teacher) and had forgotten to take it home - I don't normally take it with me) and had to get DH to take the kids to school so I could get in early and sort my face out before registration, otherwise I would have scared my students Grin

Mineral powder foundation
Neutral eyeshadow
Mascara
Lippy

So, nothing too colourful, but just enough to stop me looking like a potato.

Mrswellyboot - I used to just wear powder, no foundation, but it made me look a bit chalky... Might investigate tinted moisturiser or bb creams.

Interesting how some wear the full works and others none at all.

Would love to be able to do it all in 5 mins. Very impressed that some of you are so fast!

I wear primer, Boots Intelligent Colour foundation, blusher and lipstick.

I am very pale and look washed out without make up. I don't wear any on non work days unless I am going out.

Clinique foundation, mascara, Clinique lipstick. I like Clinique lipsticks because they are very light - I don't like to feel too made up. I wore blusher until about a year ago when my daughter pointed out I looked like a china doll. Never touched it since!

I wear the same as OP but without the mascara and eyeshadow but use eyeliner. I wear a dark berry lipstick (MAC media), which I use everyday. It suits my colouring and looks natural on me.

Make up is my war paint. Looking groomed and polished is part of my professional persona. I work in risk and compliance and I am more effective when I get people's attention.

Always foundation, under eye corrector, mascara, blusher, tinted lip balm. Sometimes eye liner, shadow and eyebrow pencil but I fell a bit daft putting them on at 6:30 am.
