I'm trying to find a good one that a)doesn't make my eyes bloodshot and sore and b)works.

Atm I'm using Simple, and it's rubbish.

I use a solid bar from lush - I think it's called babyface but I could be wrong. It's a very mild greasy bar which you just gently rub on to your skin and then wipe off with a damn cotton wool pad.

I use Garnier

Baby oil! Nothing better. I have used it since I was 13, I'm now 36 and have virtually no static lines around my eyes.

I use the Body Shop chamomile oil cleanser. Can't remember the exact name.

Vaseline as recommended on here!

Doesn't vaseline and baby oil make your eyes all blurry?

I use micellar water (Bioderma but pretty much every range has a micellar cleanser these days) to remove all my make up - it's better then any eye make up remover I've had (though I did like Clinique's)

Leaves skin pretty soft too, however I still do a second cleanse with a balm or milk afterwards.

Boots Botanics is the only one I've used for the last 15 years. Never found anything that comes close. I wear waterproof mascara mostly.

I use Clinique's Take the Day Off makeup remover (in the purple bottle).
It's the only one I've bought again and again!

Clinique here too.

I found Simple stung.
The one I always return to is Garnier Simple Essential Soothing eye make up remover

Bioderma micellar water is great and as good as Lancome Bifacil and Clinique take the day off. Escentual online have 25% off atm so the Bioderma will be a good price.

Another micellar water fan here, the Superdrug one is cheaper than Bioderma and just as good IMO.

Waitrose Pure. Got in when I couldn't get to a big Boots for the botanics one but find it is just as good.

Clinique take the day off. It's the only one that gently takes off my Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow and waterproof mascara without any scrubbing from me. I used to use Liz Earle and I didn't realise how crap it was until I got a sample of the Clinique one with a magazine. Costs a fortune, but one bottle lasts 3-4 months of daily use, and I think it's totally worth it.

Another one for Clinique.

Works beautifully and I wear a lot of black eyeliner

Another vote for Waitrose Pure. Doesn't hurt my eyes, works and is soooo cheap.

Shu Uemura cleansing oil. Brilliant product, gets all makeup off with no hassle.

Just discovered Nivea double effect eye makeup remover. It's the best I've used so far.

Lancôme bifacile.

It's spendy and I keep trying other brands but I always come back to Lancôme.
