Hi, I've compiled the most interesting pieces of beauty news into one post. It took ages to do, though I enjoyed doing it. However as it did take a long time I'd love some feedback on whether it's worth continuing with every week. Thank you!!

Thanks so much for this really useful guide! I really enjoyed looking through it. Smile You must have put a lot of effort into it.

I had no idea that M&S stock skincare products by Ren -- I haven't checked out their skincare/cosmetics section for some time. Or maybe it would just be in the larger London branches?

Chocolate-flavoured eyeshadow is a new one on me! (From your section on palettes). I think that being able to look at some of the available eyeshadow palettes all together like this is really useful. It's too easy to see them in a shop and buy them because the whole ensemble looks really pretty, then get your palette home and realise you already have most of the colours anyway, and the ones you didn't already have aren't that much use to you.

Heck, I'm old enough to remember when you could buy palettes like this on special offer in Harrods cosmetics hall for around a fiver! Shock I did buy an eyeshadow palette by Accessorise a while back, though have hardly used it so far. I don't see Accessorise cosmetics getting much of a mention (not that I spend lots of time on beauty-related sites though). They seem fine, but do you know what kind of reputation they have? The number of cosmetic brands available these days is just staggering, compared with a couple of decades ago, don't you think?

Hoopy - thank you for your kind words. I think I'll compile next weeks post in parts and not wait until Fri evening to do it all. I enjoyed trying to make it look 'magaziney'. It's amazing how easily these things can be done these days.

M&S have upped their beauty game no end. I live quite near the Kensington branch and their beauty dept which just keeps getting better.

Gosh, £5 from Harrods. I doubt there much you could buy for £5 ther today. To be honest, I don't know much about Accessorize make up. I can't really go in their because my dd would have everything off the shelves in a flash. It's part of the same company as Monsoon so I expect the quality is good.

The amount of make up ranges around is incredible. Every clothes store or designer seems to do make up as well now. It must be really hard for the smaller brands to get noticed with all the competition. Xx

Annabelledarling - thank you so much for bookmarking.

If you get the chance, I'd be very interested indeed to know what you think of the Josh Wood wand. You can drop me a line anytime at [email protected] Xx
