forehead 11s...what can I use?

Got really bad 11s on my forehead. Can't afford botox or anything similar (and not sure I would want it). Skin is prone to oiliness. Are there any magic creams/make up to make them less noticeable?

In a word, no.

No creams but I am a firm believer in the magical powers of distraction. Great hair, cool earrings, vivid lipstick: any or all of these will divert the eye. Then forget about them; it is my considered opinion that we all worry about our frown lines but never notice anyone else's. If someone is looking at you hard enough to spot them, it's probably because they fancy you anyway.

buy some frownies off amazon.. little stickers you sleep in that iron out the frown overnight

Yes I have a 'one' too and would love to brave Botox to get rid!

Only Botox

Does anyone ever look at another woman and think, 'She's pretty, what a shame about her frown lines'? Well do they? Ever?

I think we should stop worrying. We all get them; we all wish we didn't; nobody else gives a toss.

No never but this isn't about 'other' women its usually about ourselves unfortunately and what we see when we look in the mirror.

I go through phases with mine. At the moment make up is settling in them and making them look worse. Might frownies and save for botox. Might be too late as they seem quite deep. Thanks for the advice

Acceptance is the answer, and a fringe if they bother you that much. Grin

Fair comment Noddy - there just seems to be a growing disconnect between how we expect to look as we get older and what we actually see in the mirror. I think we have a generation of women who are growing up believing that an unlined face is the norm and that concerns me. i think they are in for an almighty shock. However the op was looking for advice, not a discussion so apologies!

Frownies, a fringe, Argan oil, no powder or anything that sits in the lines.

People don't really notice tbh.

Botox is an option but you have to keep doing it.

Facial yoga? Hot cloths? Skin care routine change?

The convesation is interesting. I know my DH does not care about my forehead....and I suspect I care more than most people who have to look at me. Sadly fringes look ridiculous on me ....tried that one already Grin

My friend had Botox to get rid of hers...

I had never ever noticed them until she told me...

I don't look at other women Noddy but I do catch my reflection unawares and think, 'blimey she looks grumpy' Sad
I've used Frownies in the past, I honestly don't know whether they work. I'm also about a stone over my preferred weight, its all on my face so I'm going to set a target and then see, what if anything, I might do.

I also have a 'one' and it wasn't until the other day in the playground when I was moaning about it that several other mums pointed out theirs too. I'd never noticed before so just goes to show Grin

I had Botox on my 1.

Nothing at all to do with the fresh faced 18 year old colleague constantly saying 'Are you sure you're okay? You look so unhappy...' the rotten unwrinkled so and so

I love it. Left my eyes though. I like my smiley eyes. Grin

L'Oreal Studio Secrets primer. Massage it in and the lines will disappear

Out of interest Comin how much did it cost to get Botox for that, did it work immediately or did you have to go for a few sessions, did it hurt a lot???

DrNick · 13/02/2014 22:43

Floisme. Yes! I do.

My friend got her 11s botox end because they made her look cross. She's much better with the frown smoothed away. Notice politicians. You rarely see 11s anymore. They're Botoxed. They look sweeter without the 11s. Grin. Hilarious really. A sweet politician.

Nothing works except botox

Get it, it's great

Dr nick I might have known you would! Grin

I think it's interesting what you notice and what you don't. For me it's hair. Every time. Then clothes and then face last of all. So to me, Botox seems like a waste of money. Spend your money on a good hairdresser, op and I won't even look at your forehead!

No one has ever noticed when I have had Botox re the specific lines but just an overall you look really well! I hadn't had it for about 6 monts and went last week. I asked for half the amount as I think the lines have softened a lot and I don't need it. I am loving the effect of this small dose looks lots better and still full movement I like it as I can be make up free all summer.
