Clarisonic Mia 2 - Is it worth the £££?

I've been thinking about getting a Clarisonic. I've read lots of rave reviews but also a few meh reviews. It's a lot of money so I'd appreciate any advice from MNers who've used one. Is it worth it? Will it make my crater like pores disappear? Or will it bring me out in a big spotty rash?

I think I need someone to tell me not to buy it EarlGrey. I feel that urge coming on. I may have to make a mad dash to John Lewis at lunchtime to buy one. I'm 90% convinced that the Clarisonic is the answer to all my skin problems.

I've got one and it is good but I don't think it should be used more than a few times a week. I'd also recommend the Sensitive brush head as it's more gentle.
Some beauty blogger and journalists are saying that they're getting comparable results with the cheaper versions like the Olay one.
I've been using the Konjac sponge recently and found that to be good:

My main problem is huge pores. I do get the odd spot but nothing too bad. On a bad day I'd tell you my problems are wrinkles, giant pores, excess oil, redness/uneven colour, general lack of radiance/tone/plumpness. On a good day I'd say I suppose my skin's not too bad really - especially with a thick layer of foundation on top

I'm very pleased that I purchased the Mia2. At first I used it every night, but it is not necessary. I noticed when I had a peel that it 'burned' more than usual. It it s a great exfoliator and allows your skincare to work more effectively. I agree to only use the sensitive brush. I'd recommend that you do get one and use it 3 times a week.

It sounds to me like you have very normal skin. When you look at yourself close up you're going to see all these things that others are just not going to notice. Large pores are annoying though and so hard to tackle. Mine on my nose are awful and kind of absorb make up/concealer leaving a kind of mottled effect. Have you tried a glycolic product like Olay Renegerist Elixir? That might help a bit. Also you might get a cinderella effect from an anti-blur primer but on the whole I've found them to be a disappointing.

Villa would love to hear your feedback, been thinking about purchasing one for a while. My skin sounds similar to yours, I'm hoping it is the answer to my pore problem.

So far so good. I had heard you had to charge it for 24 hours before use but I just charged it for a few hours and it seemed to have enough power to use it. I didn't really know what I was doing tbh. I just cleansed normally first (Botanics cleansing balm, cotton wool to wipe off, eye make up remover too), then I put on a bit more cleanser, wet the brush a bit (not sure if that's right or if it's ok to use it dry) and gave my face a good brush! I wasn't sure how hard to press it onto my skin or how quickly I should move it around. Anyway, afterwards I gave my face a wipe with a damp muslin and put on my usual moisturiser.

I have to say my skin seemed very clean and quite taut. I didn't use it this morning because I've read quite a few reviews that say twice a day is too much. I'll give it another go tonight.

I have a pink clarisonic.... Not sure which number it is. It was great on holiday and gets your skin feeling really clean. But I need a new head for it and just haven't got round to buying one! I was thinking of getting one of ebay , but don't know if they would be the real thing or not. Dilemma

I adore my Clarisonic Mia 2 and now have the Clarisonic Plus. The body brush has worked wonders with my chest/shoulders/cleavage - my skin is soft and glowing.

I have found that Clarisonic plus really good quality body lotion (Annick Goutal) is amazing for my cleavage.

I think it's good-I justified the expense by not having facials.
