My Whistles skirt is about to go for a quid on eBay because I can't photograph right!

Never bloody worn it either.

I'm usually ok but this is black jersey. How do you photograph black items to show them off properly? I could kick myself really.

Is it a tube skirt?

GlitzAndGiggles Sun 09-Feb-14 18:43:34

Do you have a hanger with clips? If so use that and photograph it by the window with an up close pic of the fabric or detailing

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 18:44:08

It's a jersey pencil skirt. The one with a zip up the back. I was rushing I suppose but I just couldn't get any details up.

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 18:44:44

Maybe it's because I used the app. It wouldn't let me edit and put dome better ones up.

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 18:45:41

And Jersey just doesn't photograph well. You live and learn.

Iheartcustardcreams Sun 09-Feb-14 18:46:10

I think if there is already a bid it doesn't let u edit.

leobear Sun 09-Feb-14 18:47:56

I will buy it if it's size 10 or 12

Try taking a pic outside in daylight. Artificial light almost always changed colours.

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 18:49:01

No it's a small 16! It's too late anyway as someone has put a bid on it. It is very nice and basic.

GlitzAndGiggles Sun 09-Feb-14 19:00:59

Do coconutty's idea. I had to get a friend to bid on something once when I'd posted the wrong pic for a dress and then cancelled it

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 19:04:08

There's no stopping it and I would hate to get into trouble for false bidding. It's slowly going up. Thanks.

GlaikitFizzog Sun 09-Feb-14 19:14:44

What would you happy with for it?

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 19:23:14

It's gone now. It's still £85 on the website. Got a Tenner for it. Never worn. It's nice that someone's got a bargain. I hope it fits them better than it did me.

Cherrypie32 Sun 09-Feb-14 19:30:14

For another time you can end an auction early even with bids.

Katierugrat1 Sun 09-Feb-14 20:45:31

Why didn't you just post the picture from the website?

Lighthousekeeping Sun 09-Feb-14 20:47:15

Because the eBay app wouldn't take it. I tried. They said they were too big.
