they look like a pair of calvin klein jeans I had in the lat 90's.....I'm not sure I want to revisit that look tbh

Because "moms" are unsexy, frumpy, lumpy, shapeless creatures. Grrr.

They remind me of jeans I wore in the 90's trying to look like the cast from Friends.

I hate the 'frumpy' threads fwiw LoveIs, just thought Top Shop would be the last shop I'd see them named this way. I guess everything comes round again. 90's jeans would be a better name :)

Someone needs to go and try these on to report back what they look like in real life. I am 50 and like relaxed skinny jeans, to me these do look frumpy and yes very Friends in the 80's style.

Sorry, it wasn't a pop at you, Then, more a comment on how fashion peeps love the "sack of spuds/unfashionable mother" stereotype.

I saw them and thought Yeh! Comfy!

I might get a pair. I hate low rises, and belly pants hanging over the top.

They must have come back if they are in TopShop. Perfect excuse to wear them. I have been waiting a loooong time.Grin

I've been meaning to try them on...

If you are young and lovely, they will look like Brenda Walsh fresh and ironic. If you are, ahem, mature, they will feel very comfy and make your butt enormous - see here. Lots of elderly American women driving Buicks and Oldsmobiles still wear them Wink - tips about how to style them here.

But I wouldn't look like an elderly American Woman because I'm not!

No worries LoveIs, I didn't want you to think that was what I meant IYSWIM :)

I love higher rise for muffin top reasons, although I tend to hide it with a slightly longer top. I suspect the last people Top Shop are actually aiming these at are moms!
