Please help me style my lovely new dress

After weeks of looking have found a new dress to wear to two events I have coming up:

  • parents-in-law ruby wedding anniversary, large family party during the afternoon in a reasonably swish pub
  • my cousin's wedding, dorset country pub, hog roast followed by disco/casino - we are only invited to the party - luckily it is my family rather than hubbie's so can wear the same outfit.

This is the dress: www.pinterest.com/pin/12314598953661334/. Would really like some help with a cardi/shawl in case it is chilly, shoes and some new accessories. Tend to go silver and understated in terms of jewellery normally, but something different might be good? Am size 12, 5'5 and quite busty.

Any help v much appreciated! :)

I love that colour!! Have you got a little jacket that would go over the top? Maybe fur (or faux)? What sort of budget do you have to accessorise? I have a dress that colour which I wore to a Christmas party with Emerald Green shoes which sounds a bit bonkers but was a lovely combo.

I'm also busty and am only just getting into bolder necklaces - I would either go a statement necklace or chandelier earrings. It's quite a prim dress so you could take it further that way with pearls and courts or make it a bit edgier with jewellery and heeled sandals.

Budget not unlimited - but my mum is making a pressie of the dress as I have lost 3st and she wanted to treat me. So I guess up to 50? Could go higher if it's for items Id wear again. I do have a lovely pair of chocolate brown heels from Faith (bought years ago for another wedding)like these - they might go? Just a bit unsure re fur/faux etc that I'd wear it again or that it would be suitable for the venues. Quite like the idea of statement necklace/earrings but no idea where to start looking for them?

Well done on the weight loss - you must have been very determined.
Zara have some great necklaces. If you think that they colour of your shoes looks nice with the dress then wear them, then you have more to spend on the other bits. Accessorize do lovely, inexpensive clutch bags.

I was thinking of earrings similar to these but in a different colour…

I'm not good with cardies or shawls, I always tend towards more structured but I'm sure there will be lots of other suggestions.
