Does anyone else have tiny wrists?

Mine are scrawny in the extreme, and as a result it's hard to find bracelets that don't slip down/fall off altogether. Also, watches have to be done up to the very last hole, and even then that's usually too big. Confused

Anywhere that caters particularly for the wee of bone?

I have small wrists when they are not swollen (medical condition, long story) for watches though, I find it easier to get a better fit by choosing metal bands and having the links adjusted to fit by the store I buy from. I've never had any luck with leather straps, always too big for me unless I buy childrens ones!

Oh and places like Pandora have bracelets in different sizes so you can measure your wrists and choose a length accordingly. Of course, you may not like pandora but you might get lucky and find other jewellers do a similar thing

Fellow skinny wrist here! I've had to buy kids bracelets before so I know I won't lose them. I'm not underweight or anything I've just always had tiny wrists

Me. I never bother with leather straps as they look stupid when they're wrapped around your wrist!
Always go for metal ones that can be adjusted. I have a links of London charm bracelet and it's pretty big too so I don't wear as often as I'd like to

Me, though I mostly don't wear a watch. When I do, I have a cheap children's one.

Bangles are generally a no go, as they either end up at my elbow, or fall off. I have accidentally flung them across the office before when waving my arms about Blush

I prefer non-bangle bracelets/elasticated beaded ones as I can do them up as needed.

Me. I always use my wrists to show my GP that I am not big when she says I have "abnormally skinny legs!"Hmm

I have a Pandora bracelet that I wear the most. I am just about to start with a bangle. My watch is a Citizen metal bracelet with the maximum of links taken out!

Me too - I have tiny wrists and ankles - but am not small boned elsewhere. I generally get watches taken in and stick to bracelets where I can adjust the length.

I get watches and bracelets adjusted - the jeweller should do it for free if you ask them. If I want a sporty watch I buy a kids' one.

I much prefer leather watch straps, unfortunately. I feel generally hampered - I can't wear watches with big faces, or cuffs or anything because it looks laughable. Just fed up! So glad others bear the same cross, heh.

yup. I've had things adjusted - where it's precious metal, it usually means there's a decent amount to do something else with! I got a pair of earrings and a pendant necklace out of the left overs from a diamond tennis bracelet too. Watch - have simply taken a few links out, and for my leather bracelet watch I had to have one made (it's got a metal clip strap so has to be the right length).

Me too - teased about them at school.

If you do want bangles, try Indian ones, often made pretty small. I go my wedding ones from Green street, nice and sparkly.

Have a leather-strapped watch at the moment - last one had to take most of the links out to close. Dh never buys me bracelets as he knows they'll be too big.

I wear leather strap watches and just make another hole. I had a metal watch once, really pretty but still too loose on the tightest setting with all the removable bits removed!

Bracelets I just try them on and usually find that there are ones out there smaller than others. Surpisingly, most of the ones I wear currently were from Primark, the big packs where there are about 5 or 6 different bracelets, and I just wear the couple that are small enough. Plus I have got used to holding my hand in a strange position to stop them falling off! (most of the time, anyway).

I did have some elasticated bracelets once which had lots of pretty beads on, which were lovely until they snapped after several years of regular wear. Can't remember where I got them though.

This (Forever 21) is one of the few bracelets that fits me, the dear thing.

I have skinny wrists and ankles. The problem is I have normal to large sized hands which make me look faintly ridiculous and bangles a pain. Wedge shoes also make my legs look like golf clubs.

I've just measured my wrists but I don't know if they qualify as small or not - left is 15.5cm and right is 16cm. I don't have a problem with watch straps though so I imagine they are fairly average!

opposite problem here..praying mantis arms finished off by giant foam hands

Just measured mine out of interest. they are 13 cm around. I always have to have links taken out of watches and never wear bangles. They fall straight off! Same with rings. My wedding ring is measured as i and 1/2. Very hard to get rings to fit. I'm size 12 everywhere else though!

Yes,

I only buy bracelets that can be altered by taking out a link, or the sort where you can adjust the fastening.

I have a lovely silver bangle that was made to measure- the designer took a bit out for me and soldered it back together in his workshop.

Watches- it's easy to put another hole in a leather strap- a metal skewer is brilliant for this! Or the tip of a sharp knife.

metal watch straps- I had a couple of links taken out of mine.

My wrists, just measured at 6". they are swollen at the minute though so I would guess if they weren't I'd need to knock about half an inch off that measurement. My own personal solution was to learn how to make simple bracelets and things myself. I buy sterling silver from an online company and go from there, adding beads in glass or semi precious stones, pearls and charms etc. Also means I get something no one else has!

I have a pretty one by a company called silver.

Sounds like it's a common problem. My wrists are very thin and usually the last hole on my watch is still too big, but my hands are very wide across the knuckles (size 7.5 in gloves).

I don't actually wear bracelets/bangles as it makes me look a bit chunky by hiding the slim bit of my wrist. Same thing goes for ankle boots with skirts/dresses. I do have a really nice Tiffany bead bracelet that was sold to me in a petite size that I quite like:

I can too-is that not normal?

My wrists are fairly small I suppose, I always buy kids watches anyway because I like them. My engagement ring was a h and a half, but is too small now.
