Where do you buy clothes for your DS (age 6+?)

depends what you mean by nice. We buy from tesco, asda, matalan, etc

I'm seconding H&M as my DS is 6. He is tall and slim so their slim fit jeans are perfect. The rest of the clothes are well-priced, plus they iron and wash well.

Gap is best place for jeans (adjustable waists and variety of leg styles and colours). Matched with football shirts (not my choice - sigh!) Otherwise stock up in Abercrombie for kids every time we go to the US.

6yr old is my second son, I worked out my method with the first one.

Got some nice things for DS in Sainsbury's recently.

Other than that, M&S, Tesco, John Lewis - I watch for sales too. Boden sale is generally pretty good.

DS is 9 but I like Pumpkin Patch for trousers.

H&M are good too especially for slim kids. Tried to buy track suit trousers in October, most drowned DS, but H&M are nice slim legs and not too much fabric in the bottom.

Second gap for trousers they are fab but Zara have more trendy stuff. Ds2 is 7 and ds1 is 10. Fair bit of Boden for tops & tshirts when they have sale or discount as it lasts well. H&M for much of the rest. Was looking at Lands End as it seems a bit more grown up and quality is good but will wait for a discount. Also bought several tops from John Lewis recently in their sale and was impressed. I do buy bits off Facebook quite a lot - boden resale groups, the retail nurse etc. Whenever I buy from supermarkets I regret it, dishrags within a few months IME and can't be handed down.

Almost everything for DD (age 3)and DS (age 5) is from Sainsbury's with a few items from H&M.

IMO clothes from Sainsbury's are fab and much better quality than Tesco.

This applies for children only, I'd like to like trhe women's clothes as they're so cheap, but I just don't.

Charity Shops are always worth a try as well of course.

DS has a lot of ASDA this year, generally has more Next and Boden in the mix but his ASDA stuff seems to be comparable quality and much cheaper. He also has a couple of stripey H and M tops, very Bodenesque and great value.

Totally depends on the shape of your kids. I really like M&S and TKMaxx. I don't really buy stuff anywhere else!

Boden sales - tops are about a tenner in the sale and you can usually get around £5-6 resell value on ebay.

h&m, asda tesco disney store. lots of lovely hand me down gap fat face and m&s

h&m are for all shapes. Their cheap elastic jeans and denim shorts both £5 are awesome quality. The shorts have down three summers so far and ds is not gentle on his clothes

I used to buy loads from Sainsbury's but since DS has moved up in size to the next age bracket I've not found much I like. Most recent purchases have been from H&M (brilliant t shirts, great inexpensive hats and gloves which will inevitably disappear at school); boden for jeans because I find them so hard to find 'little boy' styled now he's in the 5 - 12 category in Next etc. Also had some nice quality joggers from M & S at a reasonable price.

Yep, I get clothes for dd2 from H&M boys department (she's 8 and favours an androgynous look). Really good quality for the price.
