Spent £230 on a pair of KG boots, worn down in a month

DM bought me a lively pair of kurt geiger boots for my birthday a month ago.

Considering I have other pairs if shoes, these are bit worn every day, however, they have already worn down past the rubber!

I'm not happy at all and expected them to last longe than a month of casual wear.

I have sent photos to their customer service but they want to see them in the flesh so I will have to post them back.

What a faff!

I think il stick to clarks next time

Heels on shoes always wear down really quickly, they are fine after they have been re heeled but it's really not on, hope you get some joy from Customer Service.

I've found that the rubber heels on shoes and boots always wear down really quickly, but once you get them heeled they're fine and last ages. I've even had my dd's school shoes soled and heeled before she's even worn them as she walks to and from school and is quite hard on shies.

I find it equally as annoying as you do, however for the sake of a tenner to get them heeled (don't let them go past the rubber, you'll wreck them) I wouldn't have the hassle of posting them etc, the outcome is pretty predictable I.e. They're going to say they can't be held responsible for how you walk etc. Pretty crap but it's not something I'd put myself to any bother over

I agree shoes and boots need reheeling quickly -Why can't shops just heel them properly in the first plaece ? LK Bennett put a note in a shoebox with shoes I bought once telling me to reheel immediately; I just thought why didn't they do it, as they are shoemakers? Ridiculous.

Also in my experience KG are poor quality. I had the same hassle with a pair of ballerinas that were scuffed after three weeks of normal wear. I sent them in and got a grudging refund but what a faff!

Why should you have to reheel 'god quality' boots immediately. This is terrible.

I think KG prices are inflated because they discount by 25% so frequently - a bit like Boden.

I splashed out over £200 on some gorgeous fur lined kg boots last winter, they've split on the inside sole and leak. Cobbler can't repair them without replacing the whole sole Sad

sorry but if you wear most fashion shoes or boots daily then the heels will wear down. I used to work in a shoe shop as a student and was amazed at how many people complained about normal wear and tear.
Having said that I'd say heels now are made with an inferior material and they do wear quite quickly- but I don't think it's a reason to complain- just take them to the cobblers.

Having had this happen a lot (guess I walk funny as they wear on one side really fast) I now get all new boots heeled with reinforcing bits before I wear them..and do the same for my daughter who can ruin a pair of Clarks boots ina week!

Pissed me off tho..anything over £100 shouldn't NEED it before they are wearable!

As Medusa says, you can have tips put on the toes & heels to stop them wearing down. I get all new shoes/boots done...

Yup this always happens to me, must be in cahoots with cobblers

I hope the cobblers can sort them.

They are biker style soles.

Don't want the hassle of sending them back

Contact customer services and launch a complaint. don't get them fixed yet so they can see the wear.
