Anyone have a Moncler Coat?I know they are £££ but trying to decide if I can justify the cost.Mum at school has one and it does look gorgeous. Are they really warmer than say Northface Metropolis etc.?

Not worth it IMO as it's not much better quality as other technilcal/ski clothing. It's branding mostly and looks. In the same way you don't pay for Chanel because of leather quality, but brand value and recognition.

Each to their own I guess. However, have you ever owned a Chanel bag? I have the classic quilted one and I can assure you it's a million times better quality than my other leather bags.

Just had a look , and personally I wouldn’t. Doesn’t give any real detail about the filling used so no way to determine how warm it would be. I do like designer handbags but they are usually classic items that will last years. These coats are fashion items.
Of course depends on your expendable income

We were in Venice in Jan and it was freezing cold. My snow jacket just wasn't warm enough and it was suggested I go to the Moncler shop. Needless to say I did and it was like wearing a duvet - so warm and looked fab which was a bonus. If you have the money to do it then it's definitely worth it. I'm someone that buys classic things though and I keep them forever. I don't make to much effort dressing up hence why I love these the effortlessness of these coats.
