this is possibly the funniest fashion item from M&S thing I have EVER seen..

FOX scarf

Well, I went into M&S in Chelsea this afternoon and I was horrified, horrified I tell you, that the scarf was not in stock! In such an on-trend area as Chelsea, I would have thought it was a no-brainer to stock this scarf. shock

I would love to buy one just to wear around the house. I could pair it with my lovely turban which was bought for its comedy value!

ErrolTheDragon Thu 17-Oct-13 15:20:12

>I reckon it looks more like a ferret.

A sleeping ferret would make a lovely scarf if you have no sense of smell.

it's meant to be frivolous but
these are more fun

BuzzardBirdBloodBath Thu 17-Oct-13 14:17:02

Hee hee, in the "customers also viewed" bit at the bottom it looks like they have put a picture of a fox poo too...a link to a link grin

BuzzardBirdBloodBath Thu 17-Oct-13 14:15:08

£19.50 ( thanks Errol) hmmm, not sure I can afford to buy that just for the comedy factor?

OddSockMonster Thu 17-Oct-13 14:10:56

I reckon it looks more like a ferret.

Avondale Thu 17-Oct-13 13:54:08

Have you read the reviews on the M&S site! Hilarious! ( bet they're MNetters!)

PostBellumBugsy Thu 17-Oct-13 13:51:39

That is really crap. Bears no resemblance to a fox for starters. Who would wear it? Do you think fox lovers wear it, or fox haters?

OddSockMonster Thu 17-Oct-13 13:48:35

Good grief. What were they thinking?

ErrolTheDragon Thu 17-Oct-13 13:44:57

>Where is the price?
seems they don't show a price when its out of stock - now its back its £19.50!

MrsMonsoon Thu 17-Oct-13 13:37:28

Off - not of.

Laughing too much grin

MrsMonsoon Thu 17-Oct-13 13:36:01

It's back in stock grin

<falls of chair laughing>

It looks just like the cuddly toy I bought at the pet store, for my dog. Can you imagine walking in the dog park, wearing that? You'd be mobbed!

Sizzlesthedog Wed 16-Oct-13 14:38:15

M&s have a whole fox theme. They have several fox scarves (fab review on the knitted one) and fox cushions and fox lights!

BuzzardBirdBloodBath Wed 16-Oct-13 14:10:01

Where is the price?

ErrolTheDragon Wed 16-Oct-13 13:57:09

M&S have a knitted scarf and mittens set which looks better than the one in the OP.

ErrolTheDragon Wed 16-Oct-13 13:54:45

IHeart, that knitted one is cool... but there's lots of foxy scarves out there which look much better than the M&S one which doesn't look anything like a fox - water vole maybe?

AmazingBouncingFerret Wed 16-Oct-13 13:17:21

They are probably allowing the reviews in the hope that it goes viral. Good marketing for them really because there's bound to be some people out there who'll buy it! grin

MrsMonsoon Wed 16-Oct-13 13:09:39

The story about my hens was true grin

IHeartKingThistle Wed 16-Oct-13 13:06:14

I prefer this one here. Anyone fancy crocheting it for me? grin

TheAngryCheeseCracker Wed 16-Oct-13 13:05:07

Naughty reviews by MNers"

Manchesterhistorygirl Wed 16-Oct-13 13:02:19

See I thought it was going to be like the actual fox stole (with head and tail) that my gran used to have. She as born in 1912 so very ok back then. That however looks like a childs puppet.

ErrolTheDragon Wed 16-Oct-13 13:01:02

>FB need to define their parameters a little, maybe away from the 'obviously looked at in horror' searches MN links us to.

Not just FB, I keep getting ads for strange items thanks to MN.

ErrolTheDragon Wed 16-Oct-13 12:59:53

Oh, is wearing a dead animal around your neck going to come back into fashion? (<shudder> remembering old lady at church who had a fox with little beady eyes for best)

Should my dachshund be worried?

And the real question is surely, What Does the Fox Say?
