Does anyone have any recommendations? Before I go for a L'Oreal one that has good reviews on Amazon?

I bought Revitalash and Revitabrow back in January from QVC.
I used it daily and it took about three months or so to work.

Of course the eyelashes fall out so I need to keep up with the maintainence (will do in the three months up to Christmas. I have incentiv) Grin

Second for revitalash, is amazing. Shop around for deals though!

Rapid Lash is amazing too. You have to use it for a couple of months to notice a difference but, crikey, after that I suddenly looked like Bambi! Everyone noticed and the make up artist who did my wedding make up said they were almost too long! Brilliant stuff.

I'm using rapid lash but haven't seen huge improvements. I'll try revitalash next (post-chemo re growth, it's ok but NOTHING like what I had before -- my lashes were amazing, loved them, best feature, now just meh) .

I've read good reviews of Prevage and M2 but they are ££££

Also using Talika liposome eyelash conditioner to take care of what I do have

How long foes the Rapid lash thing last? Trying to work out whether it's cheaper or more expensive than dying my lashes.

I've been using Rapid lash for nearly 2 months. I had eyelash extensions that wrecked my lashes. They were short & stubby. My lashes are longer & the corners are curling too. Amazing stuff that definitely works.

I use Rapidlash (much cheaper on Amazon btw) and I've really noticed a difference - my eyelashes are longer and eyebrows thicker (well, less threadbare Grin Blush)

Do these effects last if you keep using it?

hmmmm, rapid lash and revitalash are a bit out of my budget.

The M2 one is waaaaaaaay off it!

Yeah I used the rapid lash too and I was initially very impressed. The only problem I found, was that my lashes kind of grew in different directions and different lengths. I had to spend quite a lot of time in the mornings getting them to all point the same way with my eyelash curler. After I did that though, they did look very long, almost false tbh.

Having said that, I actually don't use it anymore. Mainly because of the hefty price tag. When I stopped using it, yeah my eyeslashes did go back to the way they were very quickly. I'd say a week or two actually, but I tried changing my diet a bit and I was shocked at how much that worked. Honestly! I started nibbling on sunflower seeds throughout the day, to the point where I felt like a rabbit lol and also I ate a lot of olives and I noticed my eyeslashes were longer and stronger after a couple of weeks.

I've not eaten them as much recently and I've noticed my lashes have gone back to normal again. Must get down the shops asap Grin

Interesting about the diet changes making a difference, I'll have a google and see if I can find anything about that. I love olives so they'd definately not be a struggle to eat Grin

Yeah lucy, get googling! I think all nuts and seeds are good for your hair and skin and I love olives too, so I didn't find it a chore to feast on them Grin Basically, I think more of a Mediterranean diet is probably the way to go.

Does it make your lashes grow quicker?
Is that really possible, if so it must be possible to make a product which makes head hair grow more quickly?

Report
oreoaddict · 26/09/2013 11:37

Lazy, yeah it really does. I've often wondered the same about head hair. I think there are products out there for your hair to grow quicker, but I don't think they're as successful. In fact, I'm pretty sure they're not. Fingers crossed though.

thanks Oreo, but hmmm, if I try it I'll take before and after pics so that I can be sure about whether it actually worked!

I think the science is that they make your eyelash growth period longer?

I use Rapid Lash at night and the L'oreal Lash Serum in the mornings [I have feeling the l'oreal one is so cheap on amazon because it is no longer in production?]

Very interesting review here: www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/eyes/_/lash-growth-products-that-work

I also know of someone who has tracked down the prescription drug used in Latisse and uses that to great effect.

Revitalash do have a hair growth product.
www.revitalash-usa.com

Not sure if it's any good though or if only available in USA.
I was recommended to use the Men's Rogaibe foam for my hairloss. I can't really rub it in everyday as I wash & straighten it every other day. I think these type of potions are only good if there are single bald patches. My hairloss is all over.

I'm pleased with how the Rapidlash has worked on my eyelashes though.

thanks for the links Jenny, I may give it a miss after reading about side effects and based on the no-such-thing-as-a-free-lunch principle
(not to mention the hefty price tab :o)
