Come recommend your brilliant moisturiser for very dry sensitive skin!
Winter is coming and I need to up the stakes. Skin is fair and sensitive and almost 40 . Currently using trilogy rose hip oil (which I love) but I'm not that enamoured of the flanker moisturisers. So other suggestions VERY welcome!
I use hydraluron before moisturiser. It's a humectant so apparently attracts moisture from the air. On its own it doesn't seem anything but it works under your moisturiser. Then La Roche Posay Hydraphase.
Face or body? Eucerin is amazing for face, also A Derma Epithiale something or other, can never spell it. Kiehls for body (creme de corps). Clarins face oils too, if you fancy a change from the Trilogy.
Aqueous cream actually thins the skin. Not great, for v sensitive.
I use Lancome Hydra Zen. Miserably expensive (I'm more your supermarket brand girl for shampoo etc) but it's the only one I've ever found that doesn't sting, cause breakouts or make me greasy. My skin is so dry it flakes, otherwise. Get some free samples from Boots or a dep't store and check it out? It changed my life when I did. Sad but true.
I swear by Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Comfort Balm. I have really sensitive, dry skin and this is perfect. It absorbs so quickly and isn't perfumed, and it was designed for Norwegian fishermen (oooooh) who's hands would get all dry and chapped on the boats. You can get it in Superdrug and it's pretty cheap (I think) for a fantastic product.
Aveeno cream. Not too expensive, unfragranced and just brilliant for my extremely sensitive and dry skin. I have been using it for 20 years. If you need extra moisture just layer it on top of the Hydraluron serum mentioned or the rosehip seed oil you're using.
