Nice to see that "anti-feminists" are still recognisable by the points whizzing over their heads.

Thanks for your valued input grin

Ffs it is a joke! A pisstake on the beauty industry. Not a joke on women.

This is why I am so glad to be an anti-feminist!

Secretswitch Tue 17-Sep-13 01:02:03

Membrane is spelled incorrectly in their advert. I cannot believe for one second this is not some sick misogynist piss take.

Hogwash Tue 17-Sep-13 01:00:00

Thanks for the tip garlic!

garlicbaguette Tue 17-Sep-13 00:50:07

Looks like one of the mums from school - might see if I can see a join tomorrow grin

I know, it's bonkers. People like me wish we had cute little, squishy noses and they want bony beaks!

Your photo shows why somebody thinks women might like wearing permanent silicon masks confused

Makes MN S&B look ever so adult, doesn't it!

PacificDogwood Mon 16-Sep-13 21:55:06

Oh, I've never understood the Japanese Anime confused!

And what about that fashion for looking like doll-like Lolitas?
Like so

High nasal bridge - pffffft

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 21:47:04

It certainly strikes me as misogynist, Pacific, real or spoof.
I had kind of assumed it was meant for Japanese girls who do animé makeup, hence the reference to circle lenses.

It's just weird and horrid.

And strangely compelling.

PacificDogwood Mon 16-Sep-13 21:32:43

Having now looked at the site, I think it is one of the most racist, misogynistic 'jokes' I've seen in a while.

<sense of humour failure>

Pumpkintopf Mon 16-Sep-13 21:30:14

That is very very scary and Stepford Wives-ish

PacificDogwood Mon 16-Sep-13 21:29:59

Do they do one for blondes?

Parmarella Mon 16-Sep-13 21:29:25

Duh, defo not real, nutters grin

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 21:23:42

MarshaBrady Mon 16-Sep-13 21:23:02

Pumpkintopf Mon 16-Sep-13 21:19:35

Well, that's my nightmares planned for a while... Although it's a new take on the hockey mask and dungarees for Halloween

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 20:48:37

I watched the video after posting, Tallulah, and they look a hell of a lot MORE ridiculous sinister from the side grin The masks don't fit under the jawline, they just stick out!!

Can't see this becoming a trend, somehow ...

TallulahBetty Mon 16-Sep-13 19:52:05

Sinister! shock

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 19:45:39

Looks just like a girl I went to school with!

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 19:42:41

OK, it makes you look like a badly-made doll.

But the principle's interesting, don't you think? Do you remember in the film Fifth Element, the girl just slapped a Chanel compact up to her face, and was instantly made up? I've been waiting for someone to invesnt that for real!

The Uniface probably isn't it, though grin

garlicbaguette Mon 16-Sep-13 19:40:02

How could anyone resist the Uniface living mask? Only $399, "With Uniface mask, it’s only one step to become an ideal beauty. Simply spraying on our cell-blending glue, and put on the mask. Your beautiful life will start from here!"
