The rules:
Nothing about £100
Nothing too short (preferably just above the knee)
Nothing that needs dry cleaning

quite like this...

Check uniqlo, they do really good casual dresses that I love to wear with opaque tights and leather boots. Love this look for autumn.
They are cheap, wash brilliantly and you get ready in 5 min.
Undies, tights, dress - done!

or this?

I have just bought this with the 30% off voucher.

I like that Gap dress a lot.
What is their sizing like? I'm very awkward - 12 on the bottom 14/16 on top.

I'm a 12 and got a M, so maybe try a L to fit on top.

I really like this Zara dress. It does say DC on label but I would risk a cool hand wash.

Sleepwhenidie Sat 07-Sep-13 10:38:04

Also this one. I would try and find it here rather than order from the US though as returns are very expensive.

Those are both gorgeous.
But with my boobs I need a waist or I look 6 months pregnant smile

White Stuff has lots of nice dresses that fit the bill.

I have bought two in cos recently, both will be fab with black thick tights and brogues or boots. I am useless at links tho.

Selondonswede are the Uniqlo ones short? I am 5"8 and find it hard to get dresses that arent very short

I have just bought 3 to either wear for work or casual, gap, next and uniqlo. Plan on wearing them with black opaques and ankle boots.
