Tell me how to do mid-thirties sexy?

I've got 'harassed ASDA mum' down to a tee - and occasionally still wheel out 'grungy student' (circa 1992) - but got a child free night away bar-hopping Manchester - and I'd like to try to extend my repertoire.

Save me from ricocheting into pantomime ..... If you don't save me, I'll be pouring my size 14 wobbles curves into leopard skin... Or maybe skin-tight red PVC... That's bound to be sexy - right?

I threaten: www.asos.com/Karen-Millen/Karen-Millen-Jersey-Dress-in-Leopard-Print/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2899507&SearchQuery=Karen%20millen&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Leopardprint But I won't look like she does in it!

Arf!

I tend to go for fitted dresses from Coast, might not be the sexy look you are after but with a pair of heels I feel the part.

Ooooh! I love that so much! But (tragedy tragedy) I leave Thursday... even with next day delivery that's too tight....

Yes .. but I'm not sure it would be flattering to thunder thighs... I was thinking something more constricting structured

Whistles - really lovely clothes for grown up women that aren't frumpy. They just make you feel, as my Mum would say, 'with it'. Not cheap though, only sale purchases for me!

I second Whistles.

This with either crops like this or nice fitted full length trousers and some great heels

Not seeing that... I have washer-woman arms and maternal-B boobs. Of the two, I think the boobs have a better chance of playing the starring role in 'sexy'.

What are your legs like? Could you do killer legs with a nod to fashion?

I had this debate when I went out with much younger friends at the weekend - I opted for a skaterish style skirt from Oasis, but more structured and less likely to show knickerage, then a tucked in tight top and heels.

It's hard not to feel muttony or try hard though at this age :(

Let's start from the bottom: On my feet I wear this (shiny shiny high red shoes I can barely walk in)

Not feeling summer sexy... AW2012....

My legs are treetrunks... I curve in an out OK at the top - and then rather forget to curve in again anywhere below the waist (I'm from hard grafting peasant stock. Literally can't find boots that will do up around my calves).

But in a funny way I don't give a gnats arse about looking perfect. I'm looking to be loud and proud just for the fun of it with just a few shreds of dignity .

A bit late for this time but Oliver Bonas often has pretty/sexy/flattering clothes in - that look fine on 30 yr olds (and beyond, and under) and not just those with teenage figures.

tweet I think it's out of stock... And I'm not sure I see it as a party dress... I had in mind to shake out the cobwebs by pulling on something that I would never wear in my normal life.

I'm severely mumsied out & need a full spirit recharge!

this is the last dress MN bought me with (before 15 bastarding kilos of pregnancy weight gain). (But my version is purple V neck.) it's luverly - and I wish I'd got more wear out of it before comfort eating through morning sickness . Not sure i can justify the expense for a size 14 version (since I'm obviously imminently springing back into shape. imminently the last 15 months).

remus first is quite cute (though I presume bodycon is different to bodyselfcon?)

The second looks like what inmates would wear at an intergalactic penal colony.

Are bouncing boobs out of fashion then? I though 101 is neckline slashed low?l

look at the second (profile) picture! I presume the model does actually have boobs - but the dress makes her look as flat as my nine year old!
