OK, I need some shorts.
Jeans are just to hot this week, and as DH kindly pointed out, I was doing a Marilyn Munroe wearing a dress yesterday playing with the boys in the park (you converted me to dresses with leggings for mid temps last year, but thats just to hot atm).

I've got thunder thighs, and am a curvy 14 (16 if they don't vanity size). Skirts just ride up and bunch round my waist.

this Per Una offering is about as good as I can find to cover most of my legs. Can someone save me and find something not too short, but that will keep me cool, and allow me tyo chase 2 small boys around???

What is wrong with the shorts you have linked to? Is it that they are from Per Una?

I thought this place hated per una, so assumed I shouldn't buy from there. Are you suggesting they should be fine? (I have no fashion sense)

Ive got decent arse and thighs, and i think its all about the length of the dress at the moment. Look for dresses just above the knees that cut off at a slim point. You DO NOT need those shorts. They will look shit.

I got some very basic cotton jersey dresses from tu at sainsburies that are about an inch above the knee, and really flattering on my pear/hourglass shape. Cant find them on the website though

I wouldn't not buy something just because people on here don't like it. Have you seen some of the monstrosities people link to and think are nice?! Shock Trust your own judgement!

Ignore what people say. If you like the clothes and they suit you, then it doesn't matter where they are from.

They are OK.

The Per Una stuff that is laughed at is the over frilled and embellished skirts and tops. The plain jeans and shorts etc are good, so I would get them, they can always go back if you don't like them.

Have you tried them on? They look very fitted over the thighs. I have a curvy figure and slimline shorts just emphasise thighs. I have cropped trousers that look fab Not these but similar

I tried those shorts but I'm long waisted and they wernt comfy. I think per una trousers have been ok this year and have bought a couple of roma pairs just grateful they are comfy and fit

Per Una quality is pretty good and the plain stuff is fine. Buy away! If it was a hideous frilly kaftan then maybe not but these shorts are nice, fab colour!

I quite like them.

Hmm sorry but I don't think they'll look good.

yyy to those below the knee ones, if you get a light weight fabric they'll be cooler anyway.

Get a maxi dress - much cooler and no worries about flashing!

I own THREE Per Una dresses.

Yeah, that's right, you heard me.

OK, thanks. Have ordered the ones hen linked to, and some bright blue ones also from Debenhams thoughts?

Will see what they are like when they arrive (which will probably be the end of summer, knowing my luck!)

Thank-you.

My favorite dress is from Per Una, and i've got a couple of jumpers and a cardi that i love Blush
Not all there stuff is weird, and for some reason it is a brand that fits me well.

I got these today from dorothy perkins:
linen shorts
Really not my usual style at all but they're surprisingly okay on my big thighs and very comfortable!

I like them, but I don't like them when they go baggy at the knees and take on the shape of my thighs and knees. You can only tell if that is going to happen by feeling the fabric. I like the material to be very stiff.
I have extraordinarily short legs though. Longer legs may well get away with a bit of give in the fabric.
