Teathersend I bloody love you :)

I've just picked up the Phase 8 dress you recommended on Alliwant's thread yesterday and it's perfect. Lovely colour, I got a 10 ,am an 8 and it's well fitted but not too clingy.

The only drawback is that it's got a deep v at the front but that can be remedied with a little pinning or a lace cami.
And it's an absolute bargain in comparison to the other dozen or so I tried so thank you very much :)

Now how good are you on shoes? Grin

Ooh thanks just ordered one! Saw it and liked it a few months ago but was too expensive then.

MissFoodie I'm 5ft3 and it sits just skimming my knee caps.

I am 5ft3 too but an overly voluptuous size 20! Now I am worried that it may be too snug of your 10 is well fitting and you are usually an 8, Gypsy?

Mine is due to arrive tomorrow. I need it for the 19th so I have a few days in hand if it is not right.

I like knee cap skimming - sounds good!

I'm sure it'll be fine alliwant . I always have to size up for phase8 as I have broad shoulders and I like a bit of room in dresses as I'm a very chilly mortal who lives in thermals from oct to ...well June this year :) I hope you like it and your interview goes swimmingly.

I did laugh when I checked the link worked and one by one the sizes were selling out. Maybe Tethersend's secret job is to link to certain clothes to boost their sales. If so it certainly worked this time :)

Hah! When I bought that dress just before Xmas it was £79!! It's a great dress though and was worth paying full price for.

I tell you what, phase eight want to think about putting me on the payroll Grin

Glad you liked it Smile

Too right. It was your recommendation for a Phase 8 wrap dress when I first started reading MN that made me consider them. The local store is a bit mother of the bride but anything I've had from them always gets compliments. In fact I have a slouchy batwing sweater en route from them as I type.

Now shoes... are black patent pointy courts too safe?

I think black pointy courts for an Autumn graduation would be good, Gypsy. HOWEVER: according to the style guru, affectionately known as Tethers, my sense of style is awful! Grin But hey! I love my new dress so I certainly won't argue!

I am going for mid heeled tan sandals - interview late July.

Bloody hell - 20 quid! What exactly are you doing to correct the V-neck OP, because that's my problem too.

In my case, my boobs are big enough to stop it gaping too much, though I will still use a small pin to prevent wardrobe malfunction along the lines of Judy Finnigan.

I'm going to wear a brooch or get my DD to put a stitch in it once it's on. I might need a cami if it's chilly but once the gown is on it won't be as noticeable.

Shoes: I've ordered these to try kitten heel ankle boots. I like this look and know I will get more wear out these than courts. I also don't mind splashing out as the dress was such a steal :)

I love tethersend too, I can't find my thread about herls for summer but I bought one of the pairs she recommended and they are lovely.

Thank you Flowers
