I was lucky enough to loan maternitywear from a friend last pg but this time round no one I know has been recently pg. I live in jeans, and usually buy the Primark £11 superskinnies. They are low rise, so I should manage til around 4/5 months (second bumbs show earlier im.told)

I quite liked tge style with the big bump.band for the last couple of months, but think the underbump style look better.

Im hoping to spend £50 max, but they will be worn most days!

I loved my Seraphine jeans and found them really comfortable and a good fit and fitted me when i was at my biggest right at the end! They are not cheap but about your budget. They have lots more styles then they did when I was pregnant (2010) I had the straight leg ones I think but they do skinnies now too. They also do some styles with over bump bands.

I love my H&M over bump jeans.

New look. Honestly. I tried Seraphine, top shop, Dorothy Perkins and Esprit. None came close to New Look for me. And they were amazingly cheap too, so I had a few pairs (got them on sale).

I preferred under-bump too.

This pregnancy I'm living in Blooming Marvellous jeggings (Mothercare), love them, they're under the bump and the colour and elasticity has lasted the whole pregnancy (Im 36 weeks now) . They were ?28 I think.

Mmmm never thought of jeggings. Not sure about h&m as, while I buy alllllll my clothes there except trousers as they are too too long (im 5'2). Do they do the maternity jeans in short legs?

Topshop's Baxter skinnies. I'm 5'1, I had to turn the bottom underneath about half an inch to get them to fit properly, but nothing noticeable. I lived in those jeans my entire pregnancy.

New Look were the only ones for me.. I wash and wear and wear again.. they're so cheap and very comfy. I'm 30 weeks.

Had my ds in February and lived in Gap skinny underbump jeans, think they were about £40. Also had a pair from New Look which were ok but made me itch for some reason. H&M are alright for over bump ones but they didn't suit me. Didn't like mothercare and Mamas and papas were ok but I found them way too short though I am 5'8 so you'd probably find them ok. I also wore a couple of pairs of jeggings which weren't maternity but fitted me right till 40 weeks. One pair was from jack wills and I think the other was Dorothy perkins.

My seraphine jeans were my loyal companion for both pregnancies. I also liked my boob jeans.

Next - living in my under-the-bump and over-the-bump bootcuts.

Super comfy and about £30 a pair.

Topshop under bump skinnies - lots of different lengths, and the material is really stretchy and soft. They are almost jeggings.

I second the New Look jeans. The supersoft skinnies are v flattering and washed and washed and havent lost shape or colour.

Agree with Helspopje - Mothercare blooming marvellous totally brilliant. Used in both pregnancies, over bump, soft, comfy, keep their stretch beautifully and great for me being 5'5" and wearing flat shoes every day. Nothing worse that jeans with chewed heels!

H&M over bump skinny jeans are the only ones that I've found that don't need pulling up constantly. Sizing can be a bit hit and miss. Worth looking on eBay if you know which size/style you're after.

H&m all the way. Loved them more than my normal jeans ( honestly!) in both pregnancies !

Does anyone else have a problem with under the bump trousers that sometimes even maternity tops aren't long enough to bridge the gap so that no skin shows? It pisses me off that when I look at maternity clothes online the models look barely pregnant. What do you wear with an 8/9 month bump?

Try h&m non maternity strappy vests - they go down past my bum they are that long, and last pregbancy I wore them under most tops - they sprung back after the bump went too.

I had 2 pairs of Gap jeans from last time round - they were great all through last pg, but the lack of quality is showing and one pair has just ripped in the thigh even though I'm thinner this pg than last time. Unimpressed as they've only had 6-7 months of wear in total.

Beano last time I ended up wearing sweater dresses as jumpers because my maternity tops weren't long enough by the end. I did have some of those bump tube things to bridge the gap earlier on, but after about 37 weeks they didn't stay up. Over the bump stuff was also no good as there just wasn't enough fabric to go all the way over and they always slid down. I did carry DS all "out" though, like a huge bowling ball down my top.
