Yes. Unless interviewing as a lifeguard or stripper.

Some people believe you should always have your shoulders covered at work (in an office) full stop.

Yes. And I work in a very relaxed field.

Bunbaker Fri 28-Jun-13 20:54:30

Why would you consider not having them covered? Are you not in the UK. The weather isn't exactly at sleeveless temperatures at the moment.

mrsspongebob Fri 28-Jun-13 20:58:12

Yes. Even in the middle of an Australian summer.

Yes. And for work in general. And feet as well, in my opinion. We are fairly casual where I work, but everybody does at least do that.

Considering getting a dress for simplicity (see here...apologies for starting two threads thread )

A couple of which are sleeveless...cardigan/jacket on the horizon, then

sugarandspite Fri 28-Jun-13 21:03:24

No toes, tits, tats or pits.

sugarandspite Fri 28-Jun-13 21:05:53

Oh and I like dress 3 on your other thread, not a big fan of the others.

pointydog Fri 28-Jun-13 21:11:31

Half-dressed women at work not a good look.

fuckwittery Fri 28-Jun-13 21:12:04

No way should you wear dress 1 and 2 with no jacket or smart cardigan for an interview! Really think it should be a jacket, and dress 3 or 4 would look a bit odd with no jacket in an interview setting. I like dress 3 and 4 mind, you'll just be a bit hot with that jacket as well

MrsSalvoMontalbano Fri 28-Jun-13 21:14:56

What is a tat and a pit?

TwasBrillig Fri 28-Jun-13 21:15:48

Tattoo and armpit!

MrsSalvoMontalbano Fri 28-Jun-13 21:16:04

okay - tattoos? But, pits?

And yes, OP, you do need to cover your shoulders

HenWithAttitude Fri 28-Jun-13 21:20:43

I interviewed someone on Monday wearing a sleeveless smart dress. She looked great and pulled it off brilliantly. She was however very slim, polished and toned. Other body shapes might not present so well.

I wore a sleeveless top today. Very smart top intended for the workplace but had a cardigan over it for my only meeting...cardy off once I was in the office
